For the money, this is a really solid starter pedal assist bike. Assembly was fairly easy, although I did end up taking it to a bike shop and spending $45 to have them adjust the disc brakes as they were out of alignment. Worth the cost as adjusting disc brakes is a little trickier than basic brakes. When using the pedal assist, the bike shifts smoothly from the assistance levels. One downside is when you're cycling at low speeds with gradual inclines and you want just a little assistance, I've found even the lowest level of assistance is too much and it sends me past the other folks that I'm cycling with that are on non-pedal assist bikes. The components are decent for the price and I find the ergonomics fairly comfortable although I might replace the seat for a women specific gel seat. I also might replace the seat stem with one that has a shock absorber. Overall, I love having the option of pedal assist because I'm in decent shape but have never been a strong biker and I was tired of not being able to keep up with my more athletic friends (or having to walk my bike up steep or prolonged hills). This bike gives me the confidence to say yes to friends' invitations to go on longer rides. I might upgrade eventually to a bike that is more expensive but I can see getting a few years out of this one. Solidly built.Read full review
