    Logi Case Review Having finally updated by iPad Pro (1st Gen) recently, I was trying to decide on a case+keyboard combo to use. I had used the previous version of Logi’s case+keyboard combo for the past 5 years and love it. Since this previous model worked great up until the end (some keys stopped functioning) I decided to try Logi’s newest version for the most current iPad Pro. Also, after researching the Apple Magic Keyboard that I originally wanted, I found it lacks the various function keys that Logi offers and it costs about three times as much! Having had a bad experience with Apple’s keyboard and case offered for the Gen1 iPad Pro, I decided it was not worth the risk to waste the added money on the Magic Keyboard in case it did not live up to my needs and expectations as the Logi’s have. After several weeks of using the new case+keyboard combo, here is what I found. Pro’s * The outer case covering has a nice satin finish that is easy to grip and is easy to clean, does not attract or hold hair & dirt like previous version * Corners and edges that hold the iPad are made from a semi flexible material, previous version used hard plastic that would crack or break * Keyboard is backlit like previous version (not found on competitions products) * Has nice magnetic closure loop that also doubles as pencil holder * When putting into keyboard mode, case locks in nicely * Keyboard has a nice feel like a good keyboard should * Found that the battery is good for about 1-2 weeks on full charge if you are heavy user like I am Con’s * Logi should provide an app to allow adjustment of how long backlighting of keys stays on, find that it quickly darkens within seconds after you stop typing which is a pain when working in the dark.       * The outer case covering has a nice satin finish that is easy to grip and is easy to clean, does not attract or hold hair & dirt like previous version
      * Corners and edges that hold the iPad are made from a semi flexible material, previous version used hard plastic that would crack or break
      * Keyboard is backlit like previous version (not found on competitions products)
      * Has nice magnetic closure loop that also doubles as pencil holder
      * When putting into keyboard mode, case locks in nicely
      * Keyboard has a nice feel like a good keyboard should
      * Found that the battery is good for about 1-2 weeks on full charge if you are heavy user like I am

      Con’s
      * Logi should provide an app to allow adjustment of how long backlighting of keys stays on, find that it quickly darkens within seconds after you stop typing which is a pain when working in the dark. An alternative would be to use glow paint in the keys so they are easy to read until the light comes on.
      * Still a little heavy in weight, but overall much better than lugging a laptop around when flying

      Overall, I am highly satisfied with the new Logi case+keyboard for the iPad Pro and look forward to putting it to work like my previous one.

      Yes, this is a very nice case for my iPad Pro. I had the exact same one that I used for years but with much use, over time, there was a thin backing that started to peal off so I just ordered another one. But the backing slightly peeling off has nothing to do with the operation of the keyboard. Anything that is used over time is bound to become worn. But the original lasted me for years. I was very happy with the keyboard and how all the keys lit up. I would much rather type than on a virtual keyboard. Highly Recommend.

      I did some research to find which keyboard was most recommended for the iPad Pro 3. I would have loved the new keyboard from Apple, but not for $350. Logitech got the highest ratings in several articles I read so for a little over $100 I thought I would give it a try. Let me say- what a GREAT product! I read one of the reviews on Amazon and the person mentioned how nice the box was the keyboard came in, and I thought that was not really important. But, when I saw the box and the quality and design of just the box, I had high hopes for the keyboard.

      The keyboard is very high quality, was a bit challenging to get the iPad into it but it is good to have a really tight fit, so no worries about my expensive iPad falling out of the case. The magnet holds the iPad in place and is very secure when typing. The keys are just AMAZING! Very smooth and no noisy typing sounds! Backlighting is also very nice.

      I really like that the area to charge the Apple pencil is open so there is a direct connection to the pencil and iPad. When you close the case the flap securely holds the pencil in place, so no worries about it falling out.

      And finally, this case did not seem that heavy to me! I had a case from another company that was very heavy and had great reviews. I actually gave it a good review, but now I am not happy with the other one because the keyboard would just unsync quite often, which was super annoying to have to turn it on and off. This Logitech one does not seem to have that problem, and hope it doesn't. I just got it, so time will tell.

      But, so far, I am VERY happy I made the purchase and was looking at some cheaper ones but this one seems like it will be my winner.

      I have the 3rd gen iPad Pro, and needed a temporary case when the new kid showed up. Lo and behold, my old Slim Folio case fits the the 2024 M4 13inch iPad Pro case just fine!
      The only caveat is is that it covers the ambient light sensor, the flash, and the rear facing microphone. If these are of no concern, to you, save a bundle and grab this little baby.
      The keys feel great, and the multiple angles of view is more than adequate.

      The only caveat is is that it covers the ambient light sensor, the flash, and the rear facing microphone. If these are of no concern, to you, save a bundle and grab this little baby.

      Negative: it is heavier that I anticipated & the magnet that locks it in is not as strong as the Apple one I had prior are the only 2 minor 'issue'
      Positives: It has a key pad that lights up (which was the main reason I was looking for a new one), it feels secure, the pencil flap means I no longer have to find where I dropped pencil :)
