Great for hard floors.
This robotic vacuum works SO well for something of this price. The mapping feature is especially good, and it is able to amend the map if you move furniture. It also has an amazing ability to do gymnastics to get itself unstuck if it gets caught on a throw rug. You DO have to empty it after every cleaning, because the capacity is small. Also, it does best on hard flooring (tile or wood) - I would not recommend it for carpeted floors because it does not have a beater bar.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Good product once initial mapping is completed
Overall, I'm impressed with this vacuum. Great value. Pros: Easy to program cleaning schedules. Efficient vacuum path. Remembers objects for next run. Minimum bumping. Direct suction option works great for pet hair. About 80 min clean time before recharging on standard power Not too noisy imo Cons: Initial mapping is difficult. Remove all cords, wires, etc. or start over when stuck Long recharge time of 3 to 4 hrs Very small dust bin. Must empty frequently. A few words to the wise
When the question Easy to use? is asked in relation to the ecovacs deebot you need to ask For what? The obvious answer is cleaning the damn floor, but it is not that easy. The machine is well designed and looks like a lot of its competitors. What makes the deebot stand out is that they tried to ask an AI what the right algorithims are to guide a battery powered cleaner intelligently round your home. That is a big ask. The answer has been quite impressively positive. The deebot will, provided you can understand the instructions, do a really great job on vacuuming your house. The only problem is that unlocking its real potential depends a bit on how good your mandarin is and how good you are at double guessing what the software thinks it is doing. The support people are patient and presumably bilingual. So you will get there in the end, but it will take a little time. Plug it in and get cleaning? I dont think so. But plug it in and enter the world as it will be five years from now and you will have a lot of fun.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned

An intuitive, easy to use, high-performing robotic vacuum, highly recommend
Awesome product and works as well and as intuitive as a person can imagine. I put it on the charging dock (it sits a bit back from the contact plates, not right up on them) and after it was charged, I connected to my home wifi (30 seconds through the app) updated the software (took 1 minute through the app).. The initial setup was foolproof, honestly could not be easier. After it charged, I just told it to go. It ran a course of cleaning through my house as perfectly as I hoped it would. I didnt have to tell it to do anything specific, or not do anything specific. The unit just flat out works. I work with high end technology for a living and still this thing blows me away with just how amazing it works. It's not too loud, does a great job of cleaning, especially dog hair and crumbs in the corners, and hasn't messed up once in the dozen or so uses since I first let it run. I see now why so many review sites suggested this unit, and I am suggesting it as well. This vacuum has saved me time from my typical routine of sweeping the hardwood and vacuuming the rugs almost every day after work. I even allowed it to go into my master bedroom, and into my bath and closet there. It just found those areas on its own (after I opened the door) and cleaned them. Mapping out the whole area as it goes about its business. does hardwood perfectly well and carpet just the same. Cleaning is easy with the latch to dumb the contents of the canister too. Just for a test I put a boundary on one area to prevent the vacuum from going there. So now it avoids that area but cleans everything else around it. Such a smart tool! 2 down, best one yet!
First of all, with so many variations on the market, the robotic vacuum is not only popular but full of competition. Many different models to choose from. But the ECOVACS brand is definitely in the top 10 by any standard. I will put it in the top 3. This is my second robot, and with enough TLC, they make for a great addition to my cleaning schedule. Cuts my workload in half. And the remote capability and Alexa connectivity make this a gem to sign up with. This particular model maps the floor plan. I’ve owned one previously that didn’t. The Zig Zag pattern isn’t reliable when it comes to coverage. And how do I know it works? Visible evidence in the dust bin when it’s complete. Highly recommend, and if you have a pet, great!

A great, high tech alternative to Roomba.
This has a built in SLAM laser, which means it maps out your home to perform organized cleanings rather than random cleaning patterns like other vacs in the sub-$200 price range. Once it finally mapped my home, it did a fantastic job of automatic cleaning every night. Been using it for about 2 weeks with no complaints. It vacuums every day so you don't have to
Awesome robovac. Really like the mapping feature. It cleans the entire floor, every day and I get to see what it's done. The app is easy to use although you have to accept all the permissions to the things you wonder why it needs permission to access, but if you don't the app wont work. It's quiet and works on hard floors as well as carpet with no problem going from one to the other. It runs a little over an hour and then returns to it's charging station. A little frustrating at times but i love it
19 hrs. of run time to map my home (4000 sf) and about 10 try's to get it done but now I really like this thing. it does a good job of cleaning (better then my upright) just make sure you set the base some were in the middle of your home and some place it WELL not be moved. open the lid to turn it on and set the internet and the main brush comes apart to clean.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned

I'm assuming I bought an older version of the 900 series
The deebot firmware updated and I think it is preforming like the more current 900's. The battery last for an average of 90 minutes which is sufficient to do all but one room of our house. The dirt bin is small so if I'm around while it is running I'll pause the bot and empty the bin. It does a great job under the bed and tables.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
