    I’ve wanted to purchase a Cricut for some time now but hesitated due to the size of the other machines. Which were so intimidating, not to mention the price tag in those bad boys! But now that they finally came out with a compact machine and I absolutely love it. Super easy to use and navigate through the app and make your very own unique creations. I’m in love! I’ve made a few cards and even a drawing all uploaded straight to the Cricut Design Space one my iPhone. Yes, you read that right the pictures were designed in the palm of my hand! Overall I feel that I made the right purchase for me and my needs. I’d definitely recommend this to anyone wanting to do a little DIY crafts.

      There is definately a learning curve for this machine if you have no Cricut experience. After watching a few YouTube videos, and a little trial and some error, I can now produce some cute little items. I feel like there is still a ton to learn. If you are buying this, do yourself a favor and also purchase transfer tape (so much easier!) and maybe the 12" pads. It also does NOT interface with a Chromebook, so research which tablets it works best with if you are like me and don't see little details on a phone screen real well. I can't seem to find a way to create something with my computer app, save it to my stuff and then print it from my phone. Not sure why it doesn't do that, since I have an account. Oh! Speaking of that, you will need to set up an account to and that will run you about $100 annually (surprise!). I did not know that when I ordered. Anyway, it is a fun way to get started with the Cricut culture--have fun, get designing and then you can say, "I created it on my Cricut," too.

      I have eyed the Joy since it came out, and almost pulled the trigger half a dozen times. Last year I didn't grab it on Black Friday when it was $30 cheaper but then a project came up that I really wanted to use it for, and I have been making labels and stickers now non-stop! I've made some huge stickers, approximately 4" x 18", and every bin, box, and container around my home is now labeled. The software is easy to use, and even without spending the money on the Cricut subscription, bringing SVGs in to their software is a piece of cake. I have brought my own graphics and logos in and never had a problem with getting it converted. I wish I had just bought this thing 2 years ago!
