I've been using the Pentel Techniclick and Techniclick II for years and I love them. Those 2 models are no longer made so I thought I would try a box of these Quick Click (Model PD215). PRO: They are very nice pencils, have a great method to advance the lead close to where one holds the pencil and have a nice, comfortable rubberized grip for your fingers. The point is great for writing and I've had very good luck with the reliability of the Techniclick II. CON: HOWEVER, the fill tube for the extra leads only holds about 6 leads. I use a mechanical pencil all day long for my legal work. I write a lot and go through a bunch of lead each week. With these pencils, I will be loading lead into the very small opening (see picture) too many times each week. Conclusion: These will be fine for light duty and maybe even normal usage but won't work well for my daily needs. Good thing I also ordered some of the Pentel Side FX models to try out. Hopefully those will be better suited for my use.

It also has button near the top to advance large eraser up as the eraser wears away. Both the lead and the eraser are refillable. This particular Pencil takes either the 0.5mm or 0.7 mm leads. The leads provide good results and they don't break all that easily.

Not sure why I didn't buy these sooner.

At first it was the obsession with the clear points papermate pencils , bu those starting giving me problems with a stick eraser and the pencil just falling apart! These are so worth the money!     Love these pencils. I had bought an individual one almost 2 yr ago at a box store. Loved it so much and almost 2 yrs later I lost it and cried. Amazon to the rescue. Lol! I found them on here and got me 12 of them. If I keep my rate of loss the same l will be covered for 24 yrs on pencils. 😆 🤣 😂

    This is the second time I have ordered the item and BOTH times the tub of mechanical pencils arrived in an extremely bad condition. There is no consideration put into the packaging of the item (no packaging at all, only in the plastic bag) that when it arrived, all the mechanical pencils have fallen out of the original plastic container and some has already broken apart and the leads inside fell out and broke. The plastic container that are supposed to hold the mechanical pencils is all squished and bent out of shape, rendering useless. Where am I suppose to keep all the pencils now? This is not acceptable at all and there is no respect shown to the products itself. I would have give 0 stars if it is possible. Since it is not possible, the 1 star is for the quality for the mechanical pencils.

    I love using mechanical pencils, but not all of these pencils are long-lasting quality. Except for the Pentel Quick Click mechanical pencil in 0.7mm lead!! It is by far the most durable and reliable pencil I have every used. You click on the side to advance the lead without having to stop your writing!! Genius! And, one the best parts about this pencil, is that the eraser extends and retracts easily, plus it doesn't leave smudges or tear off your page when you erase. I love everything about this pencil, including its comfortable grip. I purchased the violet colored one, in the box of 12 pencils. Thanks Pentel for creating an awesome product! Will definitely be buying them again, and again, and again!!
