Although it is not as enegy efficient as a glass lined thermos, you don't have to worry about breaking glass if you drop it. I also like the wide mouth opening for pouring soups and large sized cap that serves as a cup or bowl. It fits perfectly in Stanley's large metal lunchbox. It's a great all around container for picnics, lunches, camping, you name it!

Cons: not keep warm as long as other Japanese brand like thermos or Zojirushi, but enough for daily use. Still warm after 8 hours. Not fit in car cup slot. Inner lid is plastic. Hope is food grade level plastic safe enough for hot water.

I couldn’t figure out what to get for my daughter . I saw this jar neck thermos by Stanley . I thought that’s perfect. She’s a Ranger and she could bring hot food for lunch or coffee for the day as it says it stays hot 12 hours I believe. I figured she probably wouldn’t have one as she’s 28 and I don’t think it’s something she would think about for herself. I took the chance and so happy I did. She really loves it and said someone had given her a small one long ago and she really wished she had a larger one. She said this is a Stanley it’s heavy duty and very nice. She was happy.
