Great for heavier and standard bodies - Data is fairly accurate - works well
First of all, I would absolutely buy the scale again. My family found it helpful to have the trend data on the app. The only annoyance was when someone would forget their phone and have to go running through the hallway in a towel, lol. Here is further information… After my initial purchase I tested the scale along with several other household members. I was interested in seeing how well it would track all of our individual data, from smaller bodies to larger. I was impressed how the scale easily communicated with the app, and how easy it was to use overall. There are several things you should know first. 1. In my home I am more inclined to carry around my iPad then my phone. So I attempted to install the app on my iPad. Imagine my frustration when I could not find the app for the scale. I looked and looked and looked, visited the companies website, read the scale information on Amazon again… And no luck. at this point I was ready to return the scale out of sheer frustration. The next morning I realized I should look in the App Store with my iPhone before giving up. And right there the Innotech app popped up. It was easy to download and set up. Apparently this app is not intended to use with an iPad, which does disappoint me. 2. This is not a scale where you just step on the scale and get a number. You must have your phone with you! You’ll have to place the scale in such a place where you can put the phone in front of you. In our case, we decided the scale was best placed in front of a full wall of cabinets in the bathroom. I just open the door of the cabinet, place the phone on a shelf in front of me. 3. Open the app and make sure you’re on the ‘Dashboard’ screen. It will look like the scale with a pointer at your weight. 4. At the top of the dashboard screen it will say ’ Please step on the scale barefoot.’ You want to make sure that each foot is placed with the center silver raised button in between your feet. 5. At the top of the screen it will say ‘Please do not move…’ 6. You should still be standing still. Limiting your movement. Then the dashboard screen will say ‘Complete.’ At this point you can step off of the scale, and pick up your phone to see your weight and the data. (When I was first figuring this out, I did move before realizing the phone screen would tell me when to move. It did mess up the data.) 7. In the app look at the bottom of the screen menu options. Your choices are goal, trends, dashboard, info and me. To see the data this scale has compiled, go to ‘Trends’. Swipe to the left through the different options. In my pictures attached, you will see the different screens. One of the things we did was to do weights at the different times of day to see what difference they made. The lower weights for in the morning, the heavier weights were at night before bed. Overall I am very happy with this scale. It is not 100% accurate, as you will see if you look at my pictures. On the screen and dashboard where it says complete, the math was wrong on how far I need to go to my goal weight. It was 2.5 pounds off, and I’m sure this is just a data error. And one of my pictures where this is shown, I circled it and put a red ? Please note that I am successfully down over 40 pounds already. I find it easier to manage small steps as my goal rather than a big long-distance goal. (I’d sure appreciate no harsh comments, as you are not aware of the health challenges I have faced that have created the body I have. I assure you it is not laying on the couch and eating bonbons! As I wanted you to have all the data from my personal experience, I laid out my full experience and data.) Also, I should mention that the scale does go up to 400 pounds, which I think is great. It successfully weighed small grandchildren as well. It’s very versatile! It is also very sturdy. I never felt like my weight was going to hurt it in anyway. It never felt shaky or unbalanced. The construction quality seems to be excellent. I have no doubt that you would do well with this scale in your home. I am quite pleased to have it in mind!

So I pretty much weigh in every morning. Whether I'm headed for hibernation (a.k.a. winter) and packing on extra pounds (ouch) or headed to summer and sheding them (yay). I've had a digital scale for a number of years now and have been very happy with it; however, you always have to try some new technology.

The Innotech scale is a Bluetooth scale that has an associated app for the phone. I have an Android and my daughter has an iPhone. Both apps on each platform work flawlessly.

    Bluetooth Pairing.
This was super simple. Note, you do not use the normal pairing of your phone. The app has its own pairing feature and this helps to keep track of who's who. You do need to be on your profile when weighing in and have the app running. Whats nice is that as long as you don't change your profile to someone else in the family, it always loads the last used. So you don't have to monkey around with selecting yourself each time. Super easy.

    Size.
The size of the same is exactly the same as my previous scale (see photos). Fits perfectly into our bathroom and looks great.

    Easy of Use.
You simply grab your phone, load the app, and step on the scale. It takes but a second to get your weight and then the scale will take about 20s to get your BMI and other values. Btw, I recommend stepping on first thing in the morning right before the shower to get your best weight. You'll be at your lightest. ;-)

    The App
This is where the product comes to life. Data. There are different data points plus your weight. You have BMI, protein, bone mass, body fat, water, BMR, visceral fat, and muscle. For each of these, you can see trend lines over time. 7 days, 4 weeks, and 12 months. This is way easier than the days of entering in your weight each day into an app. We've all been there. No more.

    Integrations.
There are a couple of items to note. There is a Fitbit Integration allowing you to send data to that app as well as a Google Fit Integration. While I cannot speak for the Apple platform, being able to send data into Samsung health would be nice. That being said, there's a sync app that allows me to send Samsung health data to Google Fit so I can see everything in one place. So in short. Innotech sends the data to Google Fit, Samsung health sends data into Google Fit. So I get all the data about me (scale + watch) in one place.

Overall, everything works great, and compared to my previous scale, I'm 0.2 pounds lighter. I'll take it.

I love how easy it is to track with your phone. Easy to use, do not have to wake it up first. I have only had it for a week now, so I will add more to the review later as I use it. But it is easier to lose weight when you can see your weight trend right on your phone. --So now I have had it a few months, and still love it. Nice Platform, easy to step on and relax, as its width is better than most. Everything still working like day one. Has 3 different trends you can use, 7 days, 4 weeks, and 12 months. Allows you to set your goal (and change it). Has an info page, where it describes healthy goals for each age. BMI, Fat, Visceral fat ranges, and water%. This app can connect to Apple Health, and a Fitbit. You can set reminders, which i should do. <- Which I just did. I set it up for a daily reminder at 6: 05 am. The app also allows me to add family members, which I have not done.

This scale looks amazing. The white makes it look very premium and weight is accurate compared to the other 2 scales I own. The scale comes with 3x AAA batteries already, so to use this right away is very simple - remove plastic tab and step on scale.
To download the app, go to the app store and download the Innotech Scale app. The app starts off by asking for information like name, gender, height and birthday. It synced pretty quickly (couple seconds on my S10), and the app is very intuitive. The Dashboard is where you see the bulk of the information that you get from the scale when standing on it. To get the information to show up on the scale, all you do is stand on the scale (bare foot so that it can read things somewhat correctly - see comments below) until the scan is complete. The app will automatically upload the new data on the Dashboard.

    Con:
The issue for me is the accuracy of the body fat percentage. Doing a DEXA scan, I'm about 18% (one of the most accurate ways to determine body fat) and about 14% using the pinch test/calipers. This app shows that I'm over 30%, which is very inaccurate. So now I'm not too sure how accurate the other data is.. as bone mass, visceral fat, protein and muscle is pretty hard to determine from something like this scale. If you take the data with a grain of salt, this will work for you. If you want medically accurate results, you want to go to your PCP and get that checked properly as I wouldn't rely on this data as medically accurate. One thing you can use from this is a general sense if your body fat is going up or down. Also note that with electrical currents (which is probably what this uses) will vary depending on how hydrated you are as well, the clothes you have on, etc. since this is all measuring resistance (fat-free mass will have less resistance to current).

Overall, great looking scale with accurate weight. App is simple and is useful when comparing a general sense of how your body is over time (though the data itself is not accurate). Your mileage may vary, but for me, this is good enough as I'm not sure if other scales will show more accurate results as the method used is the issue rather than the scale.
