UPDATE: 10.17.2018 First Day Review - 10.12.2018

The Jabra support turned out to be superb in resolving a hardware problem I had. The USB connector fell apart for some reason, and I reached out to get a replacement. The exchange was simple and efficient:
- "What is the problem?"
-"I need to replace the USB connector"
-"Ok take a picture of the product where the serial number is, and provide your purchase receipt"
- "here you go"
- (7 days later) Package shows up and I am good to go.
(original review)
I really need a good headset for when I work remotely and this one is exactly what I was looking for.
Pros:
* Easier to hear in a noisy environment with the noise cancellation on earphone. I keep forgetting how cool noise cancellation works.
* Easy to talk with noise cancellation on Microphone. It is not 100% noise free but in the case you have no other choice, noice cancellation and the mute button do the trick.
* Connect to a micro USB and Bluetooth, making it easy to switch between computer and phone
* Wireless
* Mute indicator on the micro USB adaptor so that you don't speak to the void by mistake.
* Lift the mic to mute automatically.
* The tip of the mic has a magnetic piece to allow it stick to the headset.
* You can turn on voice assistance, which tells you how many hours you have left on the battery.
* The listen-in feature is cool when I realize that the headset is picking up the sounds around me and magnifying them through the earphone.
Cons, minor things:
* I had to turn the voice assistance off beacuse it got a bit annoying. I wish I could just turn it on for the battery life
* You can flatten it but it does not fold. The carry case is a bit bulky so make sure you have enough room in your bag
* Sometimes the sound does not come up until one second after you start the video. It is as if the headset puts itself to sleep and wakes up when there is sound coming in. It is fine once you get used to it, otherwise, you might try to press buttons and end up confusing yourself.
* The same button does different things depends on if you are listening to music and sometimes can get confusing.
- Reviewed in the United States on September 27, 2024All you have to know is this: I work in a dictation-heavy industry (using Dragon and Powerscribe) and it worked great even when I had laryngitis.
I had a battery issue with my first one almost 2 years into ownership, and Jabra sent me a replacement that I'm still using to this day (2 years+ later).
Noise cancellation works very well. While it may not be best-in-class anymore, this is a great option for people who cannot wear over the ear headphones for extended periods.
Highly recommend this product.
- Reviewed in the United States on June 17, 2020Seems to be a case of "you get what you pay for."
Installation and user interface was seamless. Quality of sound is very good on both ends. Battery life is plenty for my purposes, which include maybe 5 hours a day of teleconference or phone call plus maybe an hour or two of listening to podcasts about the house. The device range is pretty good. Jabra devices have generally been excellent quality in my experience. Just a straightforward, functional, and high performance piece of equipment.
My one gripe is that I've had technical difficulties when paired to both my PC and my phone. I just found that it was more trouble than it was worth to count on automatic transitions between phone and PC - in reality it always seems to jump to the wrong device at the most annoying moments, and in my particular case it could cause some slowdown on my phone. If you're counting on that feature I don't think that the technology is quite there yet.
- Reviewed in the United States on May 1, 2020I bought this headset when we had to start working from home for an extended time period during the pandemic. I needed a reliable headset for all my video calls with a long battery life. I used Bose headphones at my last job and loved them, so that’s my point of comparison for a top quality product. Here's my review based on my specific use case and needs.
Use case: I use this with Mac products (2019 Macbook Pro, 2018 iPad Pro and my iPhone 10). I use it primarily for video calls on Google Hangouts and Zoom, plus regular phone calls.
Connectivity: EXCELLENT. I haven't had any problems with Bluetooth connectivity. When I turn it on, it immediately recognizes and connects to up to two devices. I have more issues with having my airpods autoconnecting to my Mac devices than these headphones!
Sound quality: GOOD. The sounds quality is fine for talking and listening purposes. I wouldn't use these if listening to music is your primary need (I'm comparing to the Bose QuietComfort headphones).
Noise cancelling: NOT THAT GOOD. It's only a little bit better than passive noise cancelling devices. However, I'm not that concerned about that because I take my calls in an isolated room. When I do have to be around external noises, it's good enough but not great compared to other devices with ANC.
Mute function: EXCELLENT. I love that you can instantly mute by swinging up your mic piece. I've been hearing about so many stories of 'hot mic' situations during this shelter in place / work from home situation. Other headsets require you to hit a keyboard function to mute, or you have to constantly check that you're on mute out of paranoia. With this headset, I like that you have a physical indicator to give you confidence that you're on mute, and you can quickly mute/unmute as your child intermittently interrupts your call.
Battery life: EXCELLENT. I love that it tells you how many hours are left when you turn on the headset. I can get two to three full working days of battery life with these.
Comfort: GOOD. The size of the ear pads are on the small side. They sit on your ear rather than encase them, so I can see why some people have complained about them. I've only noticed some discomfort after wearing them for an excessive amount of time. But I appreciate the amount of tension on the headset tightness. It's not too tight to give me a headache, but snug enough to not fall off when I bend over.
Overall, I’m happy about these mainly for the mute mic function and battery life but would have expected better ANC. My guess is that the effectiveness is limited to the fact that the ears are not completely covered.

5.0 out of 5 stars Mejores audifonos para conferencias

5.0 out of 5 stars Jabra always the best and reliable for business calls!
As soon as I received this, I started using this. There was a little challenge in terms of getting delivery early but as soon as I raised a query, the seller was quite responsive and did provide immediate response. I did end up getting delivery four days before the timelines provided. With Jabra, I never actually had any doubts with quality of headset. Bluetooth connection was effortless and the sound quality is absolutely great. Noise cancellation seems good as I did not get any feedback from person on other side about any background noise. Liked the box in which you can keep the headset. It really helps! Yes it is expensive but I am hoping that this will last for years to come!
Mehul MehtaJabra always the best and reliable for business calls!

5.0 out of 5 stars Call centre or work from home headset
These are great for call centre use as they have ANC Active Noise Cancelling. Manufacturer has a great warranty, Battery last all day and even multiple days if used as a Voice over IP phone headset. Works with many VOIP and meeting systems. Can connect via Bluetooth to both a PC and a mobile devise.
