I bought this for my son who was going back to college and living in a dorm,unfortunately not one with a kitchen in his room and wanted him to feel more at home with being able to cook his favorite foods in the privacy of his roon,so I took a chance and bought this portable electric stove. I wasn't sure how this would work and if it would heat up enough to cook his veggies, quinoa and omelets, but I got a call from him the next day telling me how much he loved this and how it made great omelets! He said that it heats up pretty fast and the dials work great with controlling the temperature while he is cooking his food. Regarding the safety features so far it is working great with no mishaps,just the hot plates stay hot for a good bit of time after turning dials to the off position. This is definitely a must if your kid is in college or your stove breaks down while waiting to get a new one!!

ATTENTION:
- The hot plate has a overheating protection and thermostat, it will automatically power off when the temperature is too high. It's a normal phenomenon. Please follow the instructions to use is no problem.
- The temperature ranges from 392F to 1162F and it will take about 10-15 minutes for a four-quart pot of water. Please cover the pot lid when boiling water.
- It takes about 20 minutes for the burner to cool completely, which helps keep the food warm for a long time.
- Please don't touch the body of the burner during use, beacuse the surface of the burner is made of stainless steel, which will cause heat conduction.
- Never use harsh abrasives, steel wool pads or caustic cleansers on any part of the hot plate as they may scratch the surface or damage the unit.
- When turn on for the first time, the appliance may give off vapours for up to 15 minutes. This is due to the protective substances on the heating elements. There is no need for concern and the vapours will dissipate with use.

Practical o purpose and nice price!
Very well packaged. Instructions were clear but did say it could take about 15 minutes to boil water. I had heard complaints of smoking and surface being hot. I turned both burners on but almost no smoking. I didn’t find the surface any hotter than my own glass top stove. All in all I’m pleased! Being used for power outages so it can run on my generator.

Liked that can actually use two pans on burners. First couple of times temperature was fine. GOOD cooking time. It will get so hot on knobs a person not used to heat will feel like getting burnt. Looked great nice and satin shine,,after first time wipe down the color looks stained or mottled. The food spill near burner is cooked on,,,I tried cleaning with soda. I don't like how it looks also cuisi name started coming off as wiped . If looks don't matter it works,,,. I cleaned with vinegar and water.
