Is amazingly slim, as someone who travels a lot I really appreciate how flat and flush this thing is,, it fits on the small pocket of my jeans, I can carry everywhere. The Good: Does Fast charging on my phone and I use it as auxiliary power on my PD 3.0 computer hub (need to power the hub so it can handle a usb monitor), also the usb-c to usb-c cables are just so much more convenient to carry. Yea, I know other review said it is dangerous, that doesn't have shielding and so on, but after 6 months of every day use, and connecting it into every crappy outlet on a lot of airports, trains, pushing this thing to the limit by connecting a bunch of devices to my hub, it hasn't failed me even once, doesn't even get hot. So yea maybe technically speaking, you sacrifice a bit of protection, but due to the size, convenience and so far reliability of this thing, I absolutely love it, I have had a bunch of Anker products and not a single one of them has given up on me, I end up giving them away when the tech is finally outdated, (usually 1-2 years). The Bad: Yep there are indeed some actual bad things, despite how much I like this charger sometimes it is just a tad to wide, not much but enough to not allow you to connect another bulky thing on the same outlet, so keep that in mind. some micro-USB devices refuse to charge for some reason if you only use a usb-c to micro-usb adapter tip, I found that if you use an adapter from usb-C to A and then back to usb-C on the charger end it works, I have seen this with a couple usb-c PD chargers so I don't think is related to this particular charger but more of an issue with the PD protocol or something, but just a heads up in case you find this unlikely edge case.

Full disclosure: I accidentally bought this charger when I pulled it out of the “save for later” section of my amazon cart thinking it was the backup battery that I’d saved in there the week before. When it arrived, I was kind of peeved at myself, but decided since it was here, I might as well give it a try.

You know how Apple is - they prefer that you use their branded accessories, and many non-Apple accessories just don’t perform as well even if they’re good quality for use with any other brand’s products. I had to shell out some $$$ three years ago to get a USB-C charger that would provide fast charging capabilities for my iPad Pro. I wasn’t super optimistic when I plugged this charger in and plugged in my USB-C to lightning cable, but marvel of marvels, it actually does provide fast charging for my big old 1st gen Pro. I can go from 15% to fully charged in around an hour. The charging block that *came* with my iPad doesn’t charge that quickly.

Considering how well it works, how slim it is, and how well it fits into one of the inner pockets of my travel bag, I decided that my accidental purchase was worth keeping. I have no reservations about recommending it for anyone looking for a fast charging solution for their picky Apple product.

I originally bought this little Anker charger because it was small and it would fit in my Chromebook bag. When I bought my M1 MacBook Pro I was surprised how slow the charging was if I didn't use the big MagSafe charger it came with (using USB C for charging). Then I plugged in this little Anker charger and surprise surprise, it puts all 30 watts of power to the MacBook! None of my other USB C chargers come close, not even the ones that come with my DJI drones. Plus the MacBook comes with USB C ports on both sides so that makes it very convenient since the cord can be plugged in on the same side the charger is on. So now I'm using USB C as the only charge method and my big clunky MagSafe charger is kicking around in a drawer. This little charger is getting a bigger workout now than it ever did with my Chromebook but so far it's up to the task. I'm very impressed.

This a a great alternative to the Anker 511 Charger (Nano 3) for anyone who needs a charger that does not stick out too far from the wall. If you need a charger you can plug into an outlet behind furniture or just one that lies flat in a travel/techie case...this is a great option. The glow from the blue led light might bother some (especially if you use it in a bedroom), but that can be easily fixed with a small piece of tape.
    • Reviewed in the United States on November 8, 2023
A vast improvement over the white cube charger it replaced. I also use it with a fast cable and in just a few minutes I have enough power to finish whatever task I was doing when the phone died.

Also, the flat design makes it super easy to plug in and take out. It wasn’t part of my buying decision and I almost didn’t get it because I thought it was unnecessarily big, but I discovered that it’s actually a smart design. It’s super easy to wrangle from an angle or if my outlet is being difficult.
    • Reviewed in the United States on March 4, 2023
It works, which is to be expected. The one issue I referenced in the title is that it's real easy to pull out of the wall from the cord, as it the plug acts as a pivot point and the top opposite the cord pushes on the wall when the cord gets pulled a bit, and it falls out. Inherent design issue, however due to the small size and low weight of this lad it's an incredibly useful travel charger. The LED isn't too bright, and it's very efficient which is to be expected due to the gallium nitride components used.

      Beware, nerd zone ahead:

Minimal noise on the output at all available voltages, and wow this thing is densely packed. The only failure mode I see apart from a component failure is the wire coming undone from the blade of the plug to the circuit board which is easily fixed. Decent design, good controller IC, and decent isolation between the primary and secondary side given how dense the thing is.

Overall thoughts, a decent travel charger and main charger if you don't pull on your cords at all.
