- Reviewed in the United States on April 11, 2019This mouse is somewhere between a travel mouse and a full-time desk mouse in that it is big enough to fit your hand well, but not very thin. So take that into consideration if buying a mouse for travel and space is a premium. That being said, I am very impressed by the build quality, feel, connectivity, and battery life of this mouse. My last mouse was rechargeable, but internal LiOn batteries cannot be replaced and this one can, so will last many years longer.
- Reviewed in the United States on April 6, 2018This mouse works great. It's super easy to use and works on every type of surface. Even on my bed. I use it for my surface pro and work desktop. I use the adapter for my desktop and Bluetooth for my computer. I believe it's supposed to be able to hook up to three devises, but I can't get it to work properly. But it works fine for two. I haven't been able to use the copy and paste feature because I can't figure it out, but I also haven't really tried. The only downfall of this mouse is that for Bluetooth connection, it takes a couple of seconds. It's not instant. I didn't like the automatic drag to the other computer screen feature because it would go to my other computer by itself, so I selected to manual switch screens. I believe it's by holding shift or control, or I use the middle button most. Sometimes, it can't switch to my surface pro at all and I have to click it back to my desktop then back to my surface pro, wait a few seconds for the light to blink and then it'll connect. Kind of annoying but not a deal breaker. Also one more thing that sucks (and maybe it's me) but the scroll doesn't work so great. On any computer. If you're on a map and use the scroll to zoom in or out, it doesn't stop. But overall, for people who realize technology isn't perfect and can stand the normal imperfections of it, this is a great mouse. I'd recommend it.
- Reviewed in the United States on February 1, 2019It works as advertised (almost). It says it uses laser sensing and can work on any surface including glass, well, I tried it on a glass desktop, it does not work -- I have to use a mouse pad. Also I could not get the "Flow" to work between my laptop and desktop, possibly because my laptop cannot join the same network -- I'm still working on it. Otherwise, it works nicely.
- Reviewed in the United States on March 10, 2019Super like this! I'm a big fan of double screens, even on the move, so having a mouse that could swap between my laptop and my tablet was a major game changer! I'm not the biggest fan of the swipe thing, where you can switch between screens based on orientation because for me it's too jerky and not great, but the lil button to switch devices works like a charm! I really like it! perfect for students 100%
- Reviewed in the United States on August 26, 2017The mouse feels great in your hand and tracks very smoothly. I bought this mouse for the FLOW ability to cut and paste between two laptops. I'm in my sixth week of working (sic) with Logitech support to get the feature working. The customer support is slow to respond and as far as I can tell technically naive and uncaring. I've used and liked Logitech mice since the C7 in the mid-80s. I hate giving a single star but the support really needs improvement. I'll update this comment if they ever get FLOW to work for me.
- Reviewed in the United States on October 25, 2019I've had this mouse for just over a year. The overall experience so far has been lackluster. The timeout before the mouse wheel goes dormant is about 2-3 seconds, then I have to move the mouse before the wheel responds. This is super annoying when reading articles or rss feeds.
Then, suddenly, the wheel started flaking out, and finally within a day stopped working all together.
Super super disappointed in this expensive mouse. Would not buy again, or likely a logitech either.
Update 9/23/20: The left mouse button has now started to malfunction. It won't stay clicked in order to drag, and it frequently "double clicks" on a single click. Ordered a non logitech mouse, dumping this one to ewaste.
- Reviewed in the United States on October 5, 2018I was excited to get the Logitech Wireless M585 mouse to pair with both my Mac Mini running Mojave OS and a Windows 10 PC. I followed the directions to pair the mouse with both computers, which went fairly easily. I also paired the computers with a Logitech keyboard that works with FLOW - the Logitech software that works across platforms.
What I found was that while both devices (mouse and keyboard) worked with both computers when paired with a unifying receiver, they didn't work very well with the Windows 10 PC. Bluetooth connectivity worked better in terms of the devices being recognized more quickly when switching from one to the other, but there was more lag (when typing for example) although it was less pronounced with the mouse.
The FLOW software installed easily on both the Mac and PC and worked OK for transferring files, although I only tried it a couple of times to see that it worked.
As for the mouse itself, I was disappointed in the cheap build quality. I own probably 10 Logitech mice which range in price and features. The M585 hits at the mid-range price wise, but is definitely low-end in terms of smoothness of scrolling and feel in the hand.
The value of this mouse is in its ability to work across platforms. It's handy if you have two computers on your desk, but there are other better choices if you don't need a cross-computer workflow. The M325 is cheaper with smooth scrolling, and it feels more substantial too.
The biggest reason I'm disappointed in this mouse is that when using it on my Windows 10 PC it seemed to be a hit and miss in terms of accuracy. It took longer for the Windows PC to recognize the mouse when switching over from Mac too. NOTE: I did use it via the Logitech unifying receiver and I may switch and go to Bluetooth to see if that eases my pain when using this mouse on a more consistent basis. Both are given as options when setting up this mouse.
IF the build quality was more substantial and less 'cheap plastic' I would be happier as I think the basics are good and it did work on both platforms. It's not the most comfortable mouse to use and the scroll wheel is noisy with a rough feel.
Not my first choice, but some will find it fits their needs.

5.0 out of 5 stars Logitech quality
Works very well. I use it with my iMac instead of my old (power hungry) magic mouse. I like and use a lot the cross computer control, flow.
