I bought an “open box return” because the price was so low. The popcorn maker was in perfect condition and runs well. The packaging was pretty beat but it only goes into recycling, so no worries. The blower on the machine is quite powerful so be prepared to catch wayward kernels! It’s best to avoid overfilling as the manufacturer suggests.

This popcorn machine looked the nicest and had a small footprint. It’s a cheerful red, like a Christmas red. Put a green ribbon around it and you’re done.
I have no problem recommending this product because I know from experience that the company stands behind what they sell. Of course, any appliance company can occasionally put out a dud, or have one that will wear out before their time.
Since I’ve had good luck with Amazon warehouse products, I had no problem purchasing this one that was sold as inspected and with the box. When it arrived from the warehouse, it did not have a box at all, and obviously the inspection did not include plugging it in. It didn’t work and obviously was a customer return.
So I took the time, as you can see in the video above, to return it, but this return is going back to the company with a Great Big taped on note.
So the lesson here is to quickly check out any used appliance that you purchase on Amazon. Power it up and see if it works so that you don’t run out of time to return it.
My return was easy and my card was reimbursed.
I grudgingly paid full price for one that was brand new, and it’s definitely worth it. I use a great big bowl, so I don’t have too many that bounce out of the bowl. I’d rather have that happen, than having a bunch of unpopped kernels.

I had to set up screens all around the popper because unpopped kernels AND popped ones go flying all around the room once it starts to work. Even with the popcorn shelter, kernels find ways of making their way onto the floor, into the garbage disposal, on the back of the counter under various permanent jars I have setting out. I hate this d _ _ _ thing. Instead of creating fun, it wreaks havoc. I arranged a filtering device with a basket-like strainer so that I could try to channel the popcorn in there and the unpopped kernels would automatically fall to the bottom of the container and then fall out since they're heavier than the popped ones and smaller so they fall through the cracks. I would say that based on the number of kernels I put into the thing, and the number that I collect that didn't pop, at least half the kernels don't pop. So I try to pop them again and then they pop because they only flew out because the kernels underneath got hotter than they did and they were in the way so when the kernels popped under them, both of them flew out of the gadget. I'm giving it away and getting something else. It's a joke. So much easier to just buy the kind that is sold in popcorn bags in the store. Except I'd rather do it myself and control what isn't and what is in them. This one is a rip-off.

For every popped kernel, about 5 unpopped kernels spit out. I have never had an air popper spit this many unpopped kernels before. Then, the ones that do pop, wind up flying over the bowl and onto cabinet or floor. I'm guessing it's the square shape of the spout. It takes at least 3 rounds to get two servings.
Anyways, have a new one on the way and this one will go in a cabinet as "the back up" incase the new one breaks down.

I bought this 18 months ago but only started using it this November. It is amazing!! In about 3 minutes I get 4 cups of perfect popcorn, with pretty much ALL kernels popped (tonight there were a total of 7 unpopped kernels - better than when I pan-pop corn ) and none burned. And, I use “artisan” corn, ornanic, tri-color kernels, or all red, or all blue. They all seem to work fine. I do not melt butter in the “cup” so can’t speak to that (prefer to do that in microwave or stovetop.) Love the compact size!

I will say that I took the time to thoroughly read the instructions and I highly recommend anyone who buys/uses this take the time to do that. They clarify that overfilling, not allowing a short cool off time between batches and more can cause problems (like some are complaining about here …).

Really happy with this. If you buy one, hope you are too…

Super cute and very easy to use. I’ve used it a few times, it makes a bowl that I would say is good for one giant portion or 2 normal portions of popcorn. Adding the butter to the little cup doesn’t really melt it all the way through before it’s done popping, but I don’t think I’ve ever seen a machine that does so I won’t hold it against it.

Es muy pequeña por lo que se debe de usar repetidamente (tres veces ) para hacer una cantidad similar a la de un tazón de cine.
Se sobrecalienta muy rápido por lo que hay que esperar para volver a utilizarla.
El ruido es elevado pero tolerable si se utiliza poco.
La salida de las palomitas de maíz no está bien diseñada, ya que algunas salen disparadas y hay que atraparlas para contenerlas en el tazón.
Buena idea poner recetas.

Had to return this as it was horrible and sprayed kernels all over my kitchen! I tried facing it the other way, putting a cloth over the sides but nothing worked. Not sure how this design flaw was missed by others or if those reviews are legit. This product is absolute garbage.
