ANKER Rocks! I love their products always well built for the job ahead. Light weight, durable, great color and finish, power button is nice to have, and LED display when on Sun, Charging and if it's too hot you get a light alert for that as well. Flashlight is Non-Blinding, so if you accidentally shine your friend in the eyes he won't be seeing dots! Absolutely terrific product. I tried Solar changing option, it changed very fast I was surprised.

Updates to this review will be dated and at the end. First review 2/5/21 Fair warning I am a big anker fan. I like gadgets so I bought this. The flashlight works great, it’s not a focused beam but it lights up a large area, feels very sturdy and seems like typical anker quality.
I’ve seen complaints about how long it takes to charge in the sun. I’ve never charged it from dead to full using the sun. Charged it once with the wall a month ago and it’s still fine. I didn’t consider its ability to charge from the sun, and quite frankly I don’t really care too much about that. but now that I think about it, It’s a tiny little solar panel and of course it takes a long time!
If you plan on buying this (and I do recommend it), keep in mind that yes it is very cool BUT ITS NOT MAGIC and a small solar panel means long charging times. If because of a very strange set of circumstances you find yourself stranded on an island or in the middle of the woods, the solar charging aspect will be a lifesaver. It just may take some time.
I keep mine in my glove compartment. The charge is well on the dashboard.
in my opinion One of the best features is that the on off switch for the light is nothing more than on or off! None of that BS where you have to go through high medium low and flashing before you get back to whatever setting you want. Does anyone ever use the seizure inducing strobe light flashing setting that all flashlight seem to have? I would pay extra if the other anchor flashlights have the ability to just turn on and off and none of that cycle through crap.

Update 4/9/21- I want this to my son to use as a battery. They charge his phone several times. When I got it back it was dead. Because I keep it in my car generally, I just put it up on the dashboard while I was driving around and it charged back quick enough. I made no attempt to time it by the end of the day I’m driving around it was ready to go.

This solar power bank was a life saver when we spent the day at Universal Studios in Orlando! I used it to charge my phone as well as my camera. It does require direct sunlight; and keep in mind it's not something you can use like a pocket charger. It converts sunlight to energy to charge your device in real time. I had one issue with the product not working after a couple of days, but Anker replaced it for me right away without any hassle. I will remain Anker loyal for all future similar purchases...and no one sponsored me to say that!

      Update:

I’m now using this as a power supply for a tree mounted camera. It seems to be holding up fine in the sub-zero climate here in Michigan. It has drained once due to snow and cloudy days. I do understand batteries don’t perform well in low temperatures, but this device has had enough charge to run a Wyze cam for 10 days straight at 5-15 degrees F. I also understand the water resistance is compromised while actively charging. I’ve filled in the cavity with silicon, a long micro-usb cable was ran down the tree in the event the battery does fully deplete. Even after a sunny vacation, this solar battery bank has made it possible to run a remote outdoor camera.

      Original Review:

Yes, it charges slowly in a pinch using the most abundant power source in the solar system. I’m using this as a dashboard driving power supply and heat seems to be the downfall. Yes I understand there are limitations. The solar charging could be used to keep it topped up but don’t expect to fully charge it this way. Great for our cross country road trip in the sun outdoors. Yes, it’s the quality I’ve come to expect from Anker. No, it does not have a USB-C input or output despite it being mentioned in the description. So we’re two thirds happy, thanks to the loyalty I have to this company I’m giving it four stars over three, barely. Don’t mention USB-C if it doesn’t have it.

This little power backup unit could possibly save your life if your in a situation when you need your phone and it’s dead. I keep it in my leather backpack that I take with me everywhere. I love the 4 charge indicator lights that tell me how much stored power I have available. When I’m setting on my deck I just put it in the sunlight and brings it to full charge or if I’m watching tv I just plug it into a power outlet and in no time at all it’s ready to go.

I bought this to take camping in the hope it might charge without a socket to plug it on. The solar panel is small so it charges very slowly, even in direct sunlight in the height of summer. The battery is a good size so if you were to fully charge it before you leave home then you should get a good bit of use out of it before it runs out of charge and the solar panel would help to stretch that use even further. The torch is fairly bright and has a couple of settings. I think it's a good product for the price.
