    Cable turned yellow, but excellent customer service
    I bought this two years ago and recently noticed that part of the cable started to turn yellow. Specifically the part that connects to the iPhone. I emailed the customer service for Anker and was pleasantly surprised how quick they got back to me. I emailed a Saturday and had a reply by Monday. I voiced my concern since it turned yellow and Anker advised me to stop using it and issued me a new one. I was very shocked because it's been 2 year and I bought it through Amazon. Fortunately my issue was only with the cable. I have since received my replacement and have noticed the charging box doesn't get as hot anymore. I will solely buy Anker from now on just because of the excellent customer service and they have good products.

      I’m writing this review as I am purchasing another cord after having my current one for a little over 2 years. For literally 2 years straight of daily charging and bending this cord performed very well. It still works but just started getting a little spotty so I am ordering another. I highly recommend this charger - it’s relatively inexpensive, fast, long lasting, a great length, and reliable.

      First off—it is great having a product that, despite its small (and familiar) form factor, charges much faster than even larger Apple-branded chargers. Sure it gets a bit warmer than I’d personally like, but it isn’t anything unexpected, and is way cooler than the classic 5v chargers got back in the day. After a year of use, it has held up excellently.

      The included cord is great because not only do you get a great charging block with it, but the cord itself is longer and thicker than even apple branded cables. This means it holds up better and handles the energy (and therefore the heat) better.

      Portability-wise, is everything you’d expect. It doesn’t come with anything to tie it so it may be nice to order some sort of twisty tie (I personally use Nite Ize brand gear ties for my charger and it works great). But otherwise it rolls up well, and holds its shape without damaging or bending the cord.

      The charger is styled similarly to a classic Apple 5v charger except with rounded corners. Sometimes I even get the two mixed up at a glance. This is great because it doesn’t appear to be a fast charger, which means it stays safe from getting stolen by envious family and friends.

      The block is USB-C while the cord is USB-C to Lightning.

      TL:DR: this is a great charger / cord combo for any Apple device that needs lightning, and the block itself is great with anything that can plug into it. It is durable, portable, and it is fast.
