I decided to give this a try because I had been having major issues trying to save/backup my iOS photos using the USB cable, the cloud—you name it. This was my last hope and I’m so happy that it worked out. I transferred nearly 8 GB of photos and it did take a long time, but it was well worth it. (Considering I would wait long times with other failed methods—this actually works.)

TIP
If you have a lot of photos like I did, you may want to make sure you either have 100% battery life OR have a wireless/touch charger so that you can keep your battery charged while you are transferring photos from your phone to the iXpand drive.

CONCLUSION
If you hate dealing with the USB cable for transferring photos, this is a very solid option. Even though it’s a bit more pricey than other “no-name” generic drives also sold on this platform, I decided to opt for the SanDisk and it did not disappoint. I highly recommend it.

I'm going to be honest in this review , This product is useful and by all means a good buy but in all good things on amazon theres a flaw one of those being Build Quality (and the app but we will get to that currently i have had my particular Flash drive or (ixpand drive, idc) for around Seven months during these seven months there were a lot of problems with the app not picking up certain flies that i copied which i will dwell on further but recently i realized upon connecting the drive to my phone and any other lightning device that it would never get recognized i thought it was a glitch so i formatted the flash drive but it didn't fix anything i was about to complain to Amazon but i saw a post on the forums of the device (yes they have a forums, with a lot of complaints may i add.[quality checking is probably non-existent at Sandisk's Factory ]) and found out that another person had the same problem and a person offered a suggestion to use a powerbank connect the drive to it and then connect the drive to the phone and it worked!

I honestly think this is a problem with the connection from the main board to the lightning port where if the wires in the loop ( i don't know what else to call it) wears out the connections become unstable and unable to work properly. Recently i tried to shift the loop a bit to see if it can work without a powerbank connected but it only works at a specific angle and is quite finicky so im stuck with the bulky and unpractical powerbank method for now. if this is the problems im facing at this point i dont know what to expect later onward

Now for the App *sigh*

again these are my honest opinion
The default Application is honestly Garbage its only good purpose is the Automatic Photo back up don't expect to do anything more with the app.I personally use this flashdrive on my phone for media consumption such as music and videos AND BOY YOU BETTER HAVE A CHARGER NEAR BY the app drains your phone battery so fast you wounder if the battery took place as the seconds hand on a clock (bad joke, but who cares someone somewhere laughed)

Sad to say but i no longer use the app as a primary source of media consumption i now use a 3rd party app called File Explorer and what an amazing experience its been so far. For starters the battery on my phone last longer, i believe its cause of the app not running in the background 24/7 ad it only gives power to the flash drive at some times instead of again 24/7 but that's just a speculation
another good part of the new app is the design, the Ixpand app tends to be a bit cluttered and messy but the file explorer is minimal but still overs a lot of flexibility and can do may things that the ixpand app cant/ is bad at

OK this review is going on for to long time for a conclusion. Now i gave this product a 4 star and i honestly think it deserves a 3.5 until 1) theres an update for the app that helps with the disappearing files and the battery life of decrease while using the device and 2) a better build/ quality check happening

ill keep you up to date on anything else that happens to the device

I am very happy with the iXpand flash drive. The first time you plug it into your Iphone or Ipad it asks you to install the iExpand App. That is necessary to work the flash drive so make sure you are able to log into your App store account and able to access the internet. You only have to do that once for each apple device. The software is really easy and self explanatory just select either the files/photos etc from either the flash drive or the Device ( in my case Iphone) and continue. You can even create a new folder and name it on the iExpand drive for ease of retrieval.
If you are backing up photos as I was you then take the flash drive to your computer and plug the USB side of the iExpand drive as you would any other USB stick and drag them/copy them however you are used to getting files from a flash drive to your computer. It really is that easy.
If i have one negative, it is the darn thing is really easy to misplace. I thought the curve in the top would make it easy to carry in my shirt pocket , much like a pen but I lost my first iExpand drive that way so be careful how you carry and where you store it.

Ho acquistato questa chiavetta USB3.0/Lightning per un iPhone X che ho acquistato per errore da 64Gb invece che da 256.
Devo dire che inizialmente ero un po’ scettico, primo perché non amo i prodotti che necessitano di installare App dedicate per funzionare, e le chiavette USB/MicroUSB su Android infatti basta inserirle per ampliare la memoria, secondo perché avevo letto info di difficoltà di lettura di molti file, di trascrizioni errate, con danneggiamento di file, o incomplete, così come di date, ad es di foto e video, non mantenute in originale, ma mutate con la data di trascrizione. Devo dire che però anche col Samsung S7 ebbi da utilizzare un’App dedicata per l’uso dello storage WiFi Sandisk Connect e che non mi ha stupito poi più di tanto doverne scaricare una per questa chiavetta. Inoltre dai test fatti appena arrivata ho constatato da subito che tutta la mia galleria video ed immagini di Samsung veniva letta perfettamente da iPhone X quando inserito questo supporto. In ultimo le immagini mi sembra che mantengano la data di scatto o download e non quella di trasferimento.
Direi di potermi definire soddisfatto al 100%!
Il venditore è stato puntuale e veloce. Unica pecca lo stesso giorno della spedizione, dopo esattamente 6 ore dall’arrivo del tracking Number via mail, ho notato che il venditore aveva abbassato di altri 7 euro il prezzo del prodotto.
Ovviamente non è più come un tempo quando, anche se erano piaceri o eccezioni, Amazon rimborsava la differenza, ma avrei potuto comunque non ritirare l’ordine, farne un altro del prodotto al prezzo inferiore e poi aspettare il rimborso completo del primo.
Sinceramente non me la sono sentita, mi sembrava di fare un torto a chi aveva fatto bene comunque il suo lavoro inviandomi in un giorno un prodotto nuovo è perfetto. Quindi per 7€ non ne è valsa la pena.

Premièrement fois de ma vie que je commente un article sur un site en dehors d'EBay, et pourtant je suis un gros client internet.
J'ai tenu à rédiger cet article pour rassurer ceux qui se posent beaucoup de question, un peu comme moi! J'ai lu absolument tous les avis (tous) avant d'oser acheter cette clé usb. J'ai comparé sur une dizaine de site, regardé les vidéos YouTube sur ce produit Etc. Et franchement je ne l'ai pas commandé sereinement tellement les avis négatifs étaient nombreux. D'ailleurs désolé pour tous ceux qui ont vécu une mauvaise expérience de ce produit. Quant à moi, c'est juste merveilleux, tout est parfait! À peine déballée, branchée, j'ai commencé le téléchargement de 2474 photos et 219 vidéos, soit 105 gigas! Mon iPhone 7 Plus était chargé à 88%. À peine 2h10 après, tout était copié. Mon iphone avait encore 65% de batterie. Et franchement extraordinaire, à l'exception de 2 choses: photos renommées et pas de "live photo"(devenues des vidéos). Dommage mais ce n'est rien comparé au service rendu. Elle a meme recopie des vidéos de 15mn que je pensais définitivement inrecopiable via ce système. Pour moi, aucun soucis de branchement du périphérique USB, ni lightning, ni surchauffe de la clé, ni oubli de certaines photos...
Bref, rien a dire par rapport à ce que j'en attendais. Enfin... je me pose la question de savoir s'il n'aurait pas été préférable d'acheter une clé USB wifi, sans fils et avec une capacité plus grande pour pratiquement le même prix. Mais bon je ne suis absolument pas calé dans le domaine pour pouvoir le prononcer là dessus. Pour ceux qui sont intéressés, sincèrement, tentez le coup, en espérant que cela ira aussi pour vous que cela l'a été pour moi.
