- Reviewed in the United States on August 2, 2019I got tired of carrying a bigger clunky midi board to school and wanted to be more mobile. So I decided to test this mini midi out. It turned out to be exactly what I wanted. It's affordable, light, portable, and it's plug and play. Nothing complicated. It easily slips into my backpack with my laptop with no problem. If you just want something simple without all the extra features then this here is it.
- Reviewed in the United States on December 17, 2019Really great tool for any budget home studio. My only complaint is that you have to really beat on the pads to register the hits sometimes
Great product overall
- Reviewed in the United States on December 27, 2020I have limited space and looking for a Mini Controller that wasn't too expensive. The Alesis MiniV is perfect. it's only 12 inches long & 5 inches wide. It was easy to install and my DAW Cakewalk By Bandlab scanned it right away. The keys are like synth keys with a little push back. I'm a Guitarist not a Keyboardist so I use the mini for adding special Synth effects or chords here & there so I don't use it all the time but it's there ready to go when I do need it. I mainly use the 4 pads and the keys to trigger drum sounds. It comes with free synth software called Xpand2! but that was a big let down. I couldn't get it to install correctly and my DAW wouldn't scan it. I reached out to Alesis customer support but they weren't very helpful. Oh well, at least the keyboard works with some other plugins I have.
- Reviewed in the United States on December 7, 2019Had small doubts from reading reviews, but it was well packaged, recieved in a convenient time even though I ordered it to where i am currently at. For the size, i can take it anywhere and have it ready to use whenever.
- Reviewed in the United States on December 31, 2020I've just started moving on from traditional music and into the digital world, and this is a great start for the price. I don't know anything about the knobs and how to set the pads to different things, and I could easily google it, but ain't nobody got time for that. I'm sure for someone who knows what they're doing, it works even better!
- Reviewed in the United States on December 21, 2021Let's keep it real chief, this keyboard ain't it. It's a cheap controller for a cheap price. The pads are a joke and the keys manage to be mushy and stiff at the same time. I was unpleasantly surprised as soon as I took the hunk of plastic out of the box. Luckily, I got this controller only to test how a midi keyboard would affect my work flow and had little intention on keeping it for long.
So why bother? Well, this controller is dirt cheap, lightweight, and super portable (weighs only slightly more than my phone). It's unpleasant to use, but by golly, it can place notes down like the best of them. That said, imma toss it in the bin soon. It's not good enough to warrent keeping and a (much nicer) replacement is already on its way.
I would only recommend if you are on a tight budget and willing to skip a few meals for your very own midi controller.
- Reviewed in the United States on April 20, 2022Bought this for my cousin who has interest in Sound Engineering and Music. He has been able to build tracks, melodies with it. It seems to be a great option for those who are on a budget but are interested in the music/sound industry. Would recommend certainly as a starter

5.0 out of 5 stars Perfect for beginners! Issue with using MacOS Catalina, though
Super easy to use, just plug it in, open your DAW and you're ready to play. The buttons are straightforward and I love that the keys are velocity sensitive so you can play super softly or intensely depending on what mood you're going for. I haven't encountered the issue of the drum pads double-playing, you just have to give them a good solid tap. Overall the keyboard feels sturdy and of good, lasting quality.
The only downside is that if you run MacOS Catalina on your computer, the drivers haven't been updated so you're not able to use the Editor program to change the adjustable knobs, rendering them useless. Not a huge deal for me since the basic functionality is still there and all the other buttons work great, but might be an issue if you get the full size keyboard with more adjustable knobs/buttons. Hopefully Alesis will update this sometime to make the keyboard more functional.

5.0 out of 5 stars Super bueno.
Es lo que buscaba. Te cabe en la misma funda del portatil lo que facilita mucho su portabilidad. Es muy verstail, puedes simular los inteumentos que quieras con el ya que responde a la presión. Util tanto para principiantes como para no tan principiantes.

1.0 out of 5 stars Laat je Windows 10 installatie compleet vastlopen

5.0 out of 5 stars Très bon produit
J'avais besoin d'un petit clavier-midi pour prod, que dire de plus, il respecte ses fonctions et s'adapte à mes trois logiciels sans soucis (FL etc.)
Au top !

5.0 out of 5 stars Comoda
Molto comoda, uso pure uno stand per tastiera di quelli classici e non ho mai avuto problemi, i pad e le manopole sono di alta qualità sopratutto le manopole che girano molto bene, comoda anche da portare in giro se si deve andare in studio
