    Need to understand the role of the magnets
    Included instructions are in tiny print and scant. In fact, one reviewer gave just one star for the item and returned it because of that. While it may seem harsh, instructions would really deserve to be much better. One point: The unit cannot be tested without having an iPad that fits. For example, an older Kensington keyboard can be paired easily with an iPhone. This Logitech keyboard case not only holds on an iPad using magnets both in the keyboard and the iPad, but it also turns on by a magnet. This can be accomplished without an iPad by putting a magnet as illustrated above the keyboard left and the light on the opposite side will indicate it is on. It might come handy, if one does not have the right iPad available. Typing is easy and pleasant. The close proximity of the bottom edge of the screen to the upper keys is a bit of an issue, in particular while typing on a lap or in cramped space. It is way to easy to accidentally touch the screen, which may result in unwanted switch to another activity. The back-space key is labeled by the Macintosh convention as "delete" not the returning arrow of the iPad IOS. Battery is said (by Logitech) to last 4 years, based on 2-hour use. My concern was what happens if I leave the iPad in the keyboard case in the "on" position all the time. It appears that this may not be a problem. It seems that the keyboard turns itself off after some time of inactivity. Another information the instruction manual should provide.

      IMPORTANT UPDATE!

      For unexplained reasons, the keyboard came back to life the next day. I didn't do anything, it just decided to start working again. (

      If it had come back to life after 3 days, I could nickname it Jesus, but after one day, I'll just call it my keyboard miracle. Everything works great, and I'm very happy with it again. I changed my rating to 5 stars to reflect this.

      BTW, I purchased a $25.00 backlit model from another manufacturer as a replacement and found it flimsy compared to this model. Not only that, but the keyboard has on it has to repositioned to use it and then put back into place when you're done. The moveable keyboard feature may be a selling point to some, but I found it to be a hassle. UMMV.

      This worked great until it didn't. The last Logitech keyboard I had for my iPad lasted for years and years and years. More than 7. It was still working when I got a new iPad. This keyboard was bought in May of 2022 and died after 21 months. I tested the batteries and they were still at 3 volts each. I put in new batteries and it still didn't work. The box says the product has a 4 year battery life, but that's meaningless if it only lasts 21 months. To make matters worse, the warranty on these used to be 2 years. Now, it's 1 year. Their quality isn't the same as it used to be. This thing has turned into a hundred dollar paperweight and I'm going to have to order a replacement. I am not happy about it and I will NOT get another Logitech.

      UPDATE: My folio was still under warranty. I contacted Logitech and they replaced the unit with an updated product. I have to recommend Logitech’s customer service and company policy. Updated from 3 stars to 4 stars. (Had to keep one star off due to the initial problem.)

      The folio cover and keyboard work well together, though it does make my iPad on the heavy side. Minimal trade off for the convenience.       I bought this a few years ago (it’s now Oct 2024) and I didn’t know but it runs on a simple watch battery that I only just had to change out a few months ago, and the battery is sold in most stores so it was easy to find. I do not treat my ipad rough, but this keyboard has a solid plastic cover for the backside of the ipad which has helped prevent scratches and protected against minor bumps. I really like the keypad sensory feedback when typing. I wasn’t using the ipad daily until a few months ago, and I foresee using it daily for the next few years so I will see how much faster the battery on the keypad runs out. the keypad does not add a lot of bulk so it still fits in my usual carry backpack without issues. I enjoy using this keypad.

When it got low, I was able to change it easily. I recently upgraded to a Pro model and went with Apple's keyboard, which I don't like as much as I did this one!

      If you want your keyboard to look like this after 8-12 months, go ahead and buy it. I’ve been a long time Logitech customer, and yes, eventually a key or 2 fall off… these are keyboards not helmets…I don’t expect them to be indestructible. However,it used to take multiple years of hard use before 1-2 keys fell off. I bought this one and 3 months after purchase, the first key fell off- about 4 fell off total in the first 8 months (I was able to press 2 back in). Now, in case you’re wondering, I did not use them for batting practice, as crash dummies, or for frisbee time… they all fell off simply from me shutting the case while sitting on the couch. It’s such a shame as Logitech used to be the go to for quality non-Apple keyboards

      I didn’t contact Logitech A. bc the keys happened to be keys I never used (until the return button fell off last night…blech), and I’m a small business owner- I don’t have time and shouldn’t have to spend hours talking to a company bc they decide to make an inferior product as the time would cost me more than the purchase price. B. Their warranty used to be 2 years so I thought I still had time… interestingly enough though, in addition to making cheaper products, they shortened the warranty to 1 year. Shocking, I know.

      You’d be better off going with apple (if you need the quality) or with a cheaper brand as it will be the same quality or even better as this one.

      Definitely like this keyboard a lot. It is battery powered like the little watch batteries or whatever. I'm sure they will last quite a while. And the nice thing is as soon as you put the iPad on top of the keyboard it Powers so it doesn't waste the batteries. The only downfall is there isn't a light on the keyboard. So if you're a good typer and you can see in the dark and it doesn't matter then you're fine!

      The delivery came in within the stipulated duration, with good shock absorption package. The Logitech keyboard syncs in well with my iPad Gen 9 and typing experience is great! The texture of the keyboard is good and the outer foamy silicon shell is nice to touch. It makes my iPad look like a mini computer.

      The case is honestly the best! I was really hesitant given the high price point and the case being 1/4 of the price of the iPad 9th gen.

      However, I purchased it at discount during Christmas and don't regret it at all! It's super sturdy and clicks right into the slot when I open the case. The Bluetooth never fails so I can type on the keyboard right away. It's also not super bulky so I can still fit it in my tote bag without it being overly heavy.

      I brought it to travel with me so I was able to finish some school work and reply to emails. I also use it at work in my therapy sessions with kids. I am not a heavy iPad user but it just works every time I need it so its amazing!

      The only con is that there is only 1 angle so it may be inconvenient if you prefer various angles.

      Tenho um IPad 8 e ficou perfeita, resistente, protege todo o iPad, digitação fácil, conexão igualmente fácil, nível da bateria no iPad, parece que vai durar bastante pois uso todos os dias há mais ou menos 30 dias e continua 100% carregado. Apple Pencil encaixa certinho no lugar dela. O único defeito é que praticamente dobra peso e espessura do iPad. Meu marido tem a da Apple e acredito que essa é melhor pois a da Apple não cobre a parte de trás do iPad. Mas em comparação não ganha tanto em volume quanto essa. Compraria de novo certamente! Não me arrependo da escolha!

      He utilizado este teclado por un par de meses y estoy satisfecho con las utilidades que me brinda. Cuento con una laptop bastante pesada y mi prioridad era conseguir un teclado para mi iPad que me permitiera llevar una herramienta de trabajo ligera y funcional, misión que se ha cumplido con este artículo.

      Como profesor, puedo redactar y editar mis documentos, hacer búsquedas rápidas o proyectar contenido de forma accesible, sin llevar a todos lados mi equipo pesado. El material es de muy buena calidad, las teclas responden muy bien al tacto y la conexión con el iPad es prácticamente automática.

      Evidentemente se trata de un teclado más chico que los de una computadora de escritorio, por lo que es necesario adaptarse al inicio a la distancia entre las teclas, pero a los pocos días he logrado trabajar con la misma velocidad con que lo haría en mi equipo principal. Además, la funda es bastante rígida, lo que ofrece una sensación de protección y seguridad deseables.

      Como único aspecto a señalar, solo permite una posición del iPad, por lo que si es demasiado importante para ti el tener distintas posiciones de trabajo, ángulos o cambios entre vision horizontal y vertical, deberías buscar alguna otra opción. En mi caso, trabajo cómodamente en horizontal, por lo que no me resulta necesario.

      Ampliamente recomendable.

      Poderia ter bateria recarregável (apesar do fabricante afirmar que as baterias duram 4 anos) e o teclado poderia ser retro-iluminado.
