The quality looks and feels really good. Rope is nice as well. I don't know about the actual pulling force, but I stuck it to a steel I-beam and at 200lbs was able to do pull-ups on it and it didn't budge! It is definitely strong enough that you have to be careful with it. The only other comment is that in the product description, the 'thread locker' was listed as 3.4oz, 34oz, and 10ml; the actual size is 10ml (0.34oz) but that is what you'd get if you bought it individually, so it is a full-sized bottle, which certainly adds to the value of the kit.

DO NOT BEAT SLAM OR SMACK YOUR MAGNET INTO ANYTHING HARD WHILE THROWING IT WILL KILL YOUR MAGNET OFF THE BAT OR LATER ON DOWN THE ROAD!!! SECOND PUT THE THREAD LOCKER ON TIGHTEN AND LET IT SIT FOR AT LEAST 24 HOURS! OTHER WISE ITLL BE A SHORT FIRST TRIP! Loved it! Read the direction and do the thread locker first and let it dry well! Then go to town! Do not get discouraged! Sometimes it takes more then one throw to dislodge something you attach to and there are some things you either won't get or are far to heavy for what your working with perfect gift for kids and outdoors person in your life or just a fun family, friends kinda hobby! Reviews and price were great! I purchased this as a Christmas gift for my 7yr old son. He's been watching a lot of youtubers magnetfish and this feels like a good light weight for him to try his latest hobby. The packaging arrived damaged (the one that holds the items, not the shipping box) but thankfully I don't think he'll mind the box being damaged. The contents inside seem unharmed. However this would not have been giftable to someone else in my opinion. I'll re-review when we use it!

My husband and I have loved using this magnet to pull the trash out of our local rivers. The magnet is heavy duty and can withstand quite a bit of weight! However, the magnet itself isn’t heavy or too clunky to pull out of the water. We have enjoyed using this so much.
