- Reviewed in the United States on March 9, 2020These are one of the best go-to Bluetooth earphones. I've had these for a long while now, nearing 2 years now.
I originally bought these for my dad, but he didn't want them since they weren't retractable (which I thought they were when I bought them in store), so I ended up keeping them. I have had many, many different pairs of earphones and headphones over the years, being a self proclaimed audiophile (I just love and only get good sound, but I still have a budget). And out of all of them, these are my favorites.
REVIEW STARTS HERE:
So I've had these for a long time now, and boy have they held up. They've been through a lot and only let me down when I broke them (whoops). Accidentally broke them by yanking on the cord a little too hard and the left ear went out (so I just bought a second "like new" pair for cheap, and they were brand new).
SOUND QUALITY:
5 out of 5 stars for Bluetooth earphones. Sure, they might not be entirely comparable to your $300+ headphones like Sennheiser or Audio-Technica, but for a pair of Bluetooth headphones, they're superb and get the job done well, there is no latency of audio quality drop compared to in-line audio jack earphones (from what I can tell). I personally listen to a wide range of music, ranging from your typical pop to heavy metal, death metal, and so on. And they hold up well on all spectrums I've tested. Maybe not the best for the EXTREME BASS lovers out there, but I'm also not into bass as heavy as a sperm whale. Don't get me wrong, these are just great for EDM and all that, but maybe not extreme death metal.
DESIGN:
Super lightweight, hardly noticable on the neck (pretty easy to forget you're even wearing them they're so comfortable), I wear them pretty much all day, every day and I've never had any discomfort.
RANGE:
Bluetooth starts to cut in and out (not badly) after about 15-20 feet, and disconnects after about 25-30 feet (sorry to the rest of the world, us Americans are obsessed with feet). Super easy to reconnect once disconnected, if you walked away from you phone. Once in range, just click the main stop/play button once and it reconnects.
PROS:
Excellent sound quality, super comfortable, battery life is amazing (lasts like 2 full days of listening on one charge), pretty durable and can take a beating (please don't beat them though, they don't deserve it).
CONS:
Non-retractable (so sad, but not that bad of a trade off), long charge time (about 3-4 hours or so for a full charge, not a big deal for 30+ hour playtime), Microphone isn't the best but works decently, have had some complaints of not being loud enough on calls and such.
Overall, completely worth the price and will surely be your new favorite pair of around the neck bluetooth earphones
- Reviewed in the United States on October 6, 2021I bought three of these brand new. Open one up and I tried pairing it to my phone. Wow that’s weird, only sound coming out of the left side? I messed with that little bit more and sure enough, no sound or out of the rights. Open up the second box you’ve got to be freaking kidding me, no sound out of the left! I’m freaking believable, the stuff is brand new, with a shrink wrap on it too. Sony is a pretty big name, I couldn’t believe it. At this point I’m decided I’m returning all of it, even if the third pair sounded amazing. I thought I might as well try it and I open up the third box. There’s a short, the left side cuts in and out depending on the position of the wire. The wires on his air buds are extremely extremely thin and small, just a little bit thicker than fishing line. Buyer beware, this is my experience. Hope your experience is better. But like I said, the wire and his headphones are so small, but even just shipping them could run it from working. Really disappointed in Sony on these.
- Reviewed in the United States on April 6, 2021I’ve had these Bluetooth WI-C400 earbuds for long enough to form an opinion. Overall-I like them very much. They are good value for the money. I could have gotten a more expensive Sony earbud, but I have done that in the past and lost them. This pair has a stiff plastic semicircle that goes behind your neck. I like this because it is not so prone to just fall off my neck like the ones I have lost in the past. But the stiffness also means I have to take them off when I remove a sweater or jacket because they will hang up and come off with the clothing. I don’t feel comfortable sleeping with it around my neck, so if I’m listening to a podcast before bed, I have to take it from around my neck. Actually, I’ve put them on “backwards,” slipping it on the front of my neck when it won’t be comfortable the other way and that works ok. Most of the time the sound is good, sometimes there’s static for some reason. But I mostly listen to podcasts so someone who mostly listens to music may have a different opinion. The best thing about it is the battery life. I should have let it run down so I could say how long it lasts, but tbh it’s never died on me yet and sometimes I’ve had them connected all day. I put them on to charge about 20-30 minutes a day out of habit and they probably don’t even have to be charged that much. I thought the little thin wires that go from the neck piece to the earbuds would be too fragile, but so far they’ve done fine. In the past, some earbuds had ear pieces that were too wide and hurt my ears, but these do not. Overall I’ve been pleased.
- Reviewed in the United States on June 11, 2020On the Galaxy S8, you cannot hear the person you're calling WHEN they are also on Galaxy and on the same network. We all have S8s and on the Verizon network. My friend has an S10 also on Verizon. Galaxy to Galaxy on the same network allows HD calling. The Sony headset, for some reason, makes their voice so low you can't hear them. Now, i call iPhones, even a Pixel and everything is fine and normal. Call quality is great, playing music is great, good sound, and all day play still has the battery medium on the headset. AMAZING battery life. And phone calls on messengers work great too. Just Galaxy to Galaxy on one of the major carriers that allow HD calling and you can't hear the person you're talking to. Ended up giving these to a friend who uses ther cheaper Samsung A- series phones. He loves it and it works great for him.

5.0 out of 5 stars Value for money
Received a packed new box from amazon.
Pairing is easy. Battery life is excellent.
Earlier i wasnt too happy with sound quality. Not too much loudness, until i heard songs offline on dedicated music player. The sound quality was good for the price you are paying.
Bass is decent and balanced.
One small trick to improve bass. Use the biggest earplugs that come with this and make surely they tit in your ears properly. See the bass increade by 20% . I would rate 7.5/10 for bass and 8/10 for overall quality. So dont try to play songs on online music apps to judge sound quality, as the sound gets compressed. Try using the default player and you will love it. Its so sloud that u just cant hear above 80% volume. I am using Note 10 plus.
Build quality isnt too great. In fact when i saw it first, i though amazon has sent a duplicate product. The plastic seemed very cheap. If u can live with it, its an excellent product to buy.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excelente producto
