    I gifted this to my husband for Christmas because he loves ice cream. But I was tired of getting those super processed high fat high sugar ice creams. This plate came with a booklet of different flavored recipes like vanilla, chocolate, strawberry, sorbets, margaritas, and so much more. It works exactly as described. Best for a couple or small families because it does start to lose it's coolness and the ice cream gets more aqueous after 3-4 uses and you'll have to shove it back in the freezer for a little while to get cold again. We make our homemade ice cream with 3-4 simple ingredients every time. For a healthier option we've been using protein yogurts or protein milkshakes as the base and adding sugar free sweetners and fresh fruits. It's life changing.

    As warm weather is approaching, I was looking for something to surprise my grandchildren with and ice cream is always nice on warm days, so I started looking for some options which I might be able to get which would allow for us to use with them helping us actually make the ice cream, and I stumbled across this item. I read some reviews, and watched the video, so I took the plunge and ordered it.

    Naturally, my wife and I decided we needed to try it out when it arrived, so we didn’t disappoint the grandkids if it didn’t work, so, reluctantly, after it arrived, it was cleaned, and placed in the freezer for a day. When it was ready to use, we prepared the ice cream mixture, and had some candy items we wanted to mix in, just to make sure that also worked okay in the process, and began.

    Our first attempt was a bit sloppy as we poured the entire amount onto the surface at once, rather than following the instructions and only pouring the remainder after the first round was completed, so the completion of the ice cream to longer than expected. However, the end result was great, and we had enough left over to put in the freezer after we each had a small bowl.

    The concept is very much like Cold Stone if you’ve ever been there - pour and scrape as the mixture freezes until you get the consistency you desire, and then mix in the extras. This works as advertised, and my wife and I decided to order some for presents to give away to others, which I believe is the highest recommendation I could make.

    Product came without shipping box, so the nox is damaged. Not sure about the product. It is a gift, so now my expensive gift looks like I got it at a garage sale. I hope it works, but can't test that out until bday girl opens it and waits 24 hours.
    I gave it 3 stars any way because my chef n sweet works well. Tip-Crank up the freezer.

    I got this to make ice cream with my kids this summer, and it is perfect for what I wanted. I like that it is almost instant (just a couple of minutes to get from liquid base to finished ice cream with mix-ins), and that each person can choose what mix-ins they want. It also can be used with lots of different bases to make different desserts (or frozen coffee or cocktails!) We can easily make enough ice cream for our family of four to each have a dish. This would not be good for you if you want to make large batches. The ice cream stays somewhat soft, so if you like it more solid you would have to put it in the freezer for a bit. If you want to make multiple batches, you have to work quickly, especially if it is a hot day. The last time we made ice cream (in record-breaking heat with no AC), my kids were kind of slow making each of their flavors, and it was harder to get the final batch (for my husband and I) to freeze. It is a fun way to make a quick treat.

    This is nice quick ice cream maker but a lot of hassle.
    1. It only work 2 times at a time. If you would like to make 3rd portion ice cream you have to wait another 24th hour .
    2. Shape is round which make difficult to roll ice cream. So do not dream about it .
    3. It is not easy to clean.
    But overall it really works. I love ice cream and it is one of the best natural and quick way to make it at home.
    PS: it takes 10-20 min to make one portion and not an easy job.
