Cat loves it
I bought the toy as a gift for my friend's cat, and she told me her cat loves playing with it and digging the treats from it. Her cat is an Abyssinian obviously she's smarter. My cat loves it but she's not that good at solving the puzzle, she gives up too fast lol. Anyway it's a great toy! High quality, safe for your pet, i also love the blue color

I've had this for about 3 weeks and so far it's been great. It slows feeding time for our 1 year old puppy. He likes it, it seems to be good quality. I was able to easily wash it by running it under water (I WOULD NOT put it in the dishwasher). The parts seem to be sturdy and safe. So far it's been a great addition to pique his interest and slow down feeding time.

I got this for a 7 month old puppy I was fostering, 50 pounds, mixed breed and it was perfect! He just flipped the slow feeders, but needed one, he ate too fast and got the hick-ups. This was the best solution. Food crumbs get under the bottom, but it's easy to clean. My only concern is that a stronger dog could probably break the clear plastic lid part? And it gets scratched by their nails ( this puppy had short nails and it still scratched it), so eventually it will be cloudy, but I am not sure the dog cares about a crystal clear view of the food inside!
I would buy it again. The dog was VERY clever and this was a fun way to feed him. He solved other complex outward hound games, this was just for a fun, slow feeding time. Its quiet, and a good value for the money.

Color: Challenge Slider (Orange, Blue)Size: 1 Count (Pack of 1)Verified Purchase
I have a 15 pound small dog with lots of energy. We have gotten many dog puzzles from
Outward hound (own at least 4 of them).

The challenge slider: This one is less sturdy than the others. The second time my dog used it and she broke out the pieces and I had to put them all back in together. Not sure how it will hold up in the future. She’s done it now about four times and only broke out the pieces once. I will say my dog is not physically aggressive she did scratch at it to make the pieces move but I don’t feel that she is a very aggressive and her approach on these puzzles she’s not a chew her either. I will say that her nails weren’t groomed at the time so perhaps that led to her getting grip to be able to like rip them upwards and out. Overall I’ve been very happy with the outward hound puzzle products. I like how quick and easy this one was to load compared to some of the others. You can pull out the tray and fill all the treats at one time. Not sure I would buy again just because I have some questions on sturdiness. As far as engaging her, it definitely does the job.

    The brick:
This one is a favorite and my dog has mastered it. She just did it 20 times. I will set the little door flops have separated several times and I’ve clicked them back in okay. Wondered if it will hold up in the future. But it was worth the money.

    The casino:
This is another favorite. I find that I have to lock every other one still even after like 10 times. Or she gets too frustrated. I do like that option that I can slowly lock more and more of them I find if I like them all she just gives up after a while at this point. I would recommend.

    The twister:
That’s why I’m struggling on how to teach my dog to twist the bones to get them to be recessed to get the drawers pulled out. She pulls the drawers out fine if I leave them in the unlocked position. Not sure how this one’s gonna end up working out. She loses interest because she can’t get the doors to open and I’m struggling again to teach her how to twist the bones around. It’s just not clicking. Would not buy again.

    The treat tumble small:
I recommend this one. I do it when she kinda is driving me crazy and I’ll just put her food in it for the day and make her work a little for it.

I don’t normally leave reviews, but this puzzle is amazing. My ALWAYS bored sheepadoodle figured this out in 30 min. 30 minutes of her not sighing and being bored. What a win. At first I thought this would be too hard for her, but she somehow manages to get all the treats out with her big paws. What a win.

I’ve bought my baby several puzzle feeders and food toys. This is one of his favorites, I think because it provides pretty random/intermittent reinforcement - as you can see in the video, sometimes a lot spews out like fireworks and sometimes very little comes out (depending on the force he spins it with and the amount of kibble in there). It also has held up well over the past several months. Another one similar to this had legs and bolts to adjust the height and in my Aussie’s puppy-velociraptor phase, he chewed it up (it still worked fine but looked pretty ratty). This one has bothering interesting to chew other than the food it disperses. It is also easier and quicker to fill than the kind of puzzle feeders with multiple slots, so it’s great for when you’re low on time and want your pup to be busy while you leave to go to work or other things.

My Aussie actually prefers to eat from puzzle feeders, toys, or in training sessions opposed to kibble just in a bowl or slow feeder (how boring!)
Even one of our cats sometimes sneaks over and paws at it to get some of his kibble when he’s not around.

I bought this because friends say it keeps their dog busy for 20 to 30 minutes each night. Well my dog must be a genius because 3 minutes but it’s well-made and she won’t hurt herself on it And now she waits for me to fill it up each night so she can munch treats.

This slow feeder and food puzzle worked very well for my sister's 14 week old  Great Pyranees Australian Shepherd cross. The puppy, Libby, was able to get food out of the puzzle feeder with an appropriate level of effort which kept her engaged enough to eat her whole meal, but it took much longer than her normal meal. I suggest this product for younger dogs to slow them down and engage their minds in a fun activity.

Really well made and durable. Our Aussie Shepherd 3 month old puppy loves it even though he worked it all out nearly immediately. We still set it up for him even though he races through it. Very impressed with the brand and we have since purchased more difficult puzzles from the same line.
