Product is ok, but cannot register for warranty, either online or by phone. Online requires receipt, which i do not have. By phone, interminable wait times. No email address...horrible!

Update: I bought this item in 11/21 and hadn't occasion to use it until now...6/22. It is awful! When the autofeed tangles inside the spool housing - and it will - when you follow the instructions and try to untangle the line, the line unspools and you have to wind all of it back on the spool - perfectly - or it will keep jamming! I have spent a LONG time, repeatedly try to wind the line back onto the spool perfectly...it can't be done. So now I have an unusable piece of plastic. There is a reason these products are (relatively) cheap. They are!

I hope in writing this that I will save you the money, frustration, and time I have wasted on this item. By all means, avoid this company and its products. Lousy design and poor customer service add up to trouble, take it from me.

The weight is light, adjustable handle is fine, length is satisfactory. I have two negatives:
1) Switching from horizontal cutting to vertical edging requires reaching down to loosen the coupler knob, turning the trimmer head 180 degrees and then tightening the coupler knob. (Black and Decker had a button to push on the handle that was perfect. Could not find that model anywhere now.)
2) The .065 string is ridiculously thin and breaks quickly on grass free of any weeds or thick plants. Would prefer a thicker, strong string. I cannot re-string it with thicker string. I DO NOT advise buying this weed whacker.

This was a replacement for a different brand I had from a Box Store. I've had this one for a couple of months, and so far it's a real improvement. Heavier at the cutter than the old one, it took a little getting used to--but after two or three uses, I didn't notice that anymore. What I did notice, both at first and from time to time still, is that the shaft is long enough to let me stand up (not bent over) while using it. No back aches. (I'm over 6'.) The motor isn't the most powerful offered, but it has proved more than adequate for grass and a viney groundcover (asian jasmine). I doubted the usefulness of the built-in adjustments, but I've grown to like them, too. All in all, I think well enough of this machine to write this review--something I generally don't do--and to recommend it to friends. At this stage I can't comment on long-term durability beyond saying I don't see any indications of problems arising.

Spent over an hour on hold to get a part number for a replacement spool. After getting the part number, I went on line to their site and based on the part number given I went through 35 pages of anywhere from 5 to 8 items per page (!) none of which matched the item number given!! There were items not even related to a string spool and NO images for the few spool references given. After the battery failure and now the string spool issue I will NEVER buy anything from this company!
