Sony - 55" Class BRAVIA XR X90J Series LED 4K UHD Smart Google TV

I absolutely love this TV! It has a clear picture, great color and handles games on our XBOX Series X with no problems. The available apps make streaming a breeze. It does seem to pick up glare more easily than our previous TV, but does well in a darker room.

Vizio died so emergency run to Best Buy. I was looking for another tv but not in stock. Checked out this Sony on Consumer Report and it was highly rated especially dependability so I pulled the trigger and I'm glad I did. Great picture and colors are very, very good. I highly recommend this television.

Sony for the Win! I was looking at Samsung Qled but the Best Buy Associate asked me what i was going to use the tv for and i told him primarily gaming he directed me to the x90j and i was Blown away amazing picture, clarity and sound!

However, one drawback that has been frustrating at times is the delay in app navigation. Occasionally, when switching from one app to another, there is a noticeable lag in responsiveness. While it may not happen every time, it can be a bit inconvenient, especially when I'm in a hurry or want to quickly switch between different sources of entertainment. This delay can interrupt the overall smooth user experience that this TV otherwise offers. Aside from the navigation delay, another minor gripe I have is the remote control. While it is functional and provides all the necessary buttons, it feels a bit bulky and lacks the premium feel that one would expect from a high-end TV. If you're a PS5 gamer then this is the TV you want. I purchased this one back in August of 2021 and it's been great. Now it's got all the software updates pushed out by Sony for vrr and allm. When you hook it up to your PS5 you can go into the video settings and it'll automatically set everything to optimal picture quality for you very easy setup. As with most TVs the standard speakers are just average but who uses those anyways when you have a good set of headphones or soundbar or home theater surround system hooked up to it. I highly recommend this TV.

It has been 10 years since I last purchased a TV, but after buying a PlayStation 5, it would be time to upgrade the TV. I was debating between a Samsung QLED and the Sony Bravia and I opted for the Bravia at the last minute. The Local Dimming on how it handle darks is what pulled me in as the closest thing I can get to OLED without breaking the bank. The Google TV and the streaming apps are great features, sports look great on it and it does a magnificent job on handling games on the PS5. I'm glad I went with the Bravia and I hope that this will be a part of the household for years to come!

This is probably my 3rd Sony TV I own and their image processing is really well done so their pictures always look great even years from now. The viewing angle is not that great if you're viewing it at a really side angle, but I'm usually viewing it from the front straight on so it doesn't affect me. Built in Google TV is a good convenience and the Bravia Core app which is a Sony TV exclusive stream movies at the highest bitrate you can get compared to HBOMax, Disney+, etc. But an annoying issues is when I plugged in my LG soundbar everytime I turn on the TV it constantly switching from TV audio to soundbar audio. It's annoying because I'm constantly having to switch to my soundbar for like 5mins. I recommend a Sony compatible soundbar if you're going to use a soundbar with this tv.

Excellent picture! My den has two sets of sliding glass doors and I was looking for a TV that could handle the reflection. The Sony XJ90 does a great job, The color is bright but very natural.
