    Great for the Steam Deck!

    Great for the Steam Deck!
I already have several GaN USB-C chargers that are capable of 65+ Watts, but even though they are all quite small, none of them fit flush in the Steam Deck case power adapter slot due to being too wide. The charger that comes with the Deck is itself quite small, but with the same problem. This charger has the same specification (45W at 15V 3A) as the OEM Deck charger, and is slim enough to fit in the included charger sleeve along with a 1 meter charging cable, and still fit flush with the outer shell. The charger sleeve itself is quite thick even with nothing in it, and if you replaced it with a microfiber cloth bag it would be even slimmer (Pictured in this post is the provided charger sleeve). The charger is a bit expensive for only providing 45W, when you can get a 65W charger for about the same price from other brands. What you're getting for your money is the low profile footprint and the reliability that comes with a recognizable brand (+ Anker provides an 18 month warranty on this product at the time of my purchasing). As a dedicated Steam Deck charger, and occasional phone/laptop charger, it gets my recommendation.

I love this charger! It is very thin and doesn’t stick out from the wall much, and the blades fold flat, making it fit in my cable organizer beautifully. It delivers 45 watts which is adequate for charging my Lenovo ThinkPad laptop. It’s not as powerful as the one that came with the laptop but is way more compact and lightweight which more than offsets the drop in charging speed.
45 watts is plenty to charge an iPad or iPhone at maximum charging speed.
I also purchased an earlier version of this charger that outputs 30 watts and is slightly smaller and lighter. I use the 45 watt one for the bigger load and the 30 watt version for the smaller. Most competing products look like cubes or rectangles that stick out from the wall and create big lumps in one’s carrying bag when packed.

I wanted a powerful, fast-charging, but sleek and light and easily transportable charger for my Steam Deck. This fit the bill perfectly! Fits in the back of the default Deck case and charges it incredibly fast. Great buy! Don’t regret it.

I recommend getting a right-angle USB C cable. It’s a slight QOL improvement over standard with this adapter.

EDIT: 11/13. Item purchased 9/10. Barely 60-days, and charger now sparks aggressively when plugging into an outlet! It also is not working! The item is outside of return window so I’m stuck with it. It was working great up until a few hours ago. Very upset over this fire hazard! Is this a design flaw, or just a bad item in an otherwise fine batch? Disappointed!

Seems to be just as powerful as the OEM charger for my Samsung Flex Book 15, which is also rated at 45w. For about 10 seconds after plugging this in, a notification will pop up saying "Auxilary Power connected, please use a rated charger." I guess this is because the charger starts out a low wattage until the PowerIQ 'finds' whatever the correct charging rate is for whatever device is plugged in. Batteryinfoviewer shows that, after a moment, the charger does get up to speed and charges it at a rate of ~30W, similar to my stock charger.

I love the small size of this power brick, it's perfect as the wall socket closest to my bed is actually behind it, where most PD chargers are too chonky to fit. And with the folding plug design, it's very nice that I can just toss it in my bag if I ever need to take it on the go.

This isn't a full in-depth review so much as an addition of pictures showing the 45W unit next to Anker's 30W PowerPort Atom III.

I already own the 30W and wanted to pick up the 45W, but couldn't find any reviews on here that showed both side by side. So I've uploaded some images.

Besides the pictures, if this one performs as well as the 30W that I've owned for nearly a year now (and I have no reason to suspect that it will not), I will be perfectly fine with the increased size for the extra 45W. Charges my Dell XPS13 9370 just fine, and the laptop doesn't complain about a low-power charger at all (as it does with the 30W unit). It puts out the rated 45W without issue per a USB PD power meter that I have onhand.

So far, so good. I'll update if my experience changes, otherwise, if you need a 45W charger, I can recommend this one.

Great charger honestly do not see any downsides excluding the price being a bit steep
I am using it for a compact charger for my switch and it can support the dock. it’s a nice compact set up!

      Now for the charger,
It’s an Anker so it’s reliable.
it is small prongs fold up making it especially small, great for travel and it’s charging power well it’s a 45w it’s more than enough for any of my mobile devices( iPad, Nintendo switch in my case)

<One down side> (Other than being expensive) if your ports are way too close together the charger may obstruct your other ports I don’t have the issue so it’s not an issue for me (YET!) keep that in mind if you expect to plug into extensions

I'm happy with this purchase; the last Anker charger I purchased took too long to charge my Samsung phone. This one works a lot better. If the battery is half full it takes an hour, if it's more I've had it down to 22 percent it took an hour and a half to fully charge. Being that it's 45 watts help charge the phone a lot faster. I would recommend this particular product.

Typically the way your cables would run from the charger is straight down from the wall or horizontally from a surge protector on a night stand. This should prevent some cable and charger wear and tear. I don't know why these adapters like other Anker chargers become scarce, but they're essential if you ask me.
