Pros:
- It actually records. I’ve owned a couple dash cams that didn’t always record when they were supposed to. This one doesn’t have that issue.
- It allows the use of a 128GB micro SD card.
- The footage from the front is crystal clear.
- The footage has a timestamp of the date, time, and MPH.
Cons:
- The rear cam (and it’s footage) is crystal clear during the day, but it sucks at night. It’s kinda useless for details at night to be honest, unless you’re driving in a well lit area. (Amazon only allows one video per review, and I figured it would be more useful for you to see a video of the quality of night time rear footage, so I upload a video to show it instead of my accident. But that little camera in the pink box captured everything in the accident!)
- It says it has GPS tracking, and I have the GPS unit installed in my car per the instructions; however, the Kingslim app doesn’t have this specific camera listed as an option to be added to access the GPS feature. So I’m not sure why it’s advertised as a feature for this camera.
- It also says it has a G-sensor, but I’ve never been able to access it either.
Overall, I really like this dash cam. It provides peace of mind. I would absolutely recommend this dash cam, but I’d be sure that I mentioned cons, because even though I’m not that affected by the cons, some may want those specific features.
I purchased this on November 28, 2022. The price, at the time, was $159.99. There was a $30 coupon offered at the time, and the ability to pay in monthly installments through Amazon. After taxes and everything else considered, I paid out $139.41, over the course of 3 months.
