- Reviewed in the United States on December 17, 2023Size: 65W Power DeliveryColor: WhiteNumber of Items: 1Verified PurchaseThis is one of the few options I could find for 60W PD outlets which are UL listed. This one is listed under file number E476065. This is important because it gives me the peace of mind that it won't burn my house down! Don't install some no-name Chinese outlet without UL certification in your house or anyone you care about. Saving a few bucks is not worth burning your place down or getting electrocuted.
The USB-C port supports PD 3.0 (PPS, QC5) with the following fixed modes: 5V @ 3A, 9V @ 3A, 12V @ 3A, 15V @ 3A, 20V @ 3A plus PPS from 3.3V to 20V at 3A.
The unit is quiet and does not have audible coil whine (unlike a few others I tested). This is except for when you try to pull close to 60W out of it. Even then, the noise is only noticable in a very quiet room.
The thermals also look good, charging a laptop at close to 60W for a while led to a 14.5 degree F increase in the receptacle's temperature and it wasn't warm to touch. I was using a metal faceplate so it helped cool it down a bit, but I think this should be fine even without that.
A couple of caveats, first this is understandably a bulky unit. If you have a smaller box with a bunch of wires pushed in there, you might have to trim some wires and get a bit creative for this to fit in place of an older receptacle.
Second, this does not support Samsung's Super fast charging 2.0 since it does not support 9V @ 5A so it charges my S23 Ultra in "Super fast charging" mode with PPS.
Honestly, this is mostly Samsung's fault for the non-standard 9V @ 5A profile which is significantly more inefficient than the normal 15V @ 3A profile (also results in 45W of power transfer) which other vendors use. With that said, if you expect to get 45W charging with your latest Samsung phone on this, you should look elsewhere.

Cons:
When you connect or disconnect a USB or USB-C device, the other outlet power cycles. This isn't good if you use it for always-on devices like a Raspberry Pi. It may work fine if you only use it for always-on devices but don't mix always-on with rechargeable devices, the moment you unplug your phone the Raspberry Pi will lose power. I was planning on getting the 60W version for my office but I may reconsider given this information.
It's deep, make sure you have the room in the box.
No face plate...but those are cheap for a 10-pack.

Not to mention every time someone wants to work or eat at the new island with a laptop in tow. So I installed two of these, one at either end of the island.
Now that Thanksgiving is behind us I can attest to how well these things work. At least 3 different laptops, one iPad Pro and several iPhones and other random devices have been happily charged by these things.
One note, when charging an older MacBook Air the notebook reported that it was charging at 30W. I expected to see 60W but will assume that it was the device drawing that, not the plug delivering only 30W. So far, so good.

- Reviewed in the United States on April 7, 2023I've been looking for some time for an outlet that supported USB-C/Thunderbolt charging and the additional USB-A port is useful too. I bought and installed 3 - no problems of any kind. Please note that these outlets have 3 terminal screws - 1 for black wire, 1 for white wire and 1 for ground wire. Two of my outlets were setup this way and were easy to replace. My 3rd outlet has 2 black, 2 white and 1 ground wire, so I ran a pigtail connection for the 2 black and 2 white wires to get them into one wire each to connect to the terminal screws. If you have an outlet with this configuration of 2 black, 2 white and 1 ground wire you must also run pigtail connections to the terminal screws or use the small holes in the back for 2 black and 2 white push through wire connections. As I did not use the push through connections at all, I can't comment on that. No issues of any kind getting these outlets to work on first try.
I like these enough I may be another one or two in the future to add to my house. One outlet I have connected all the time to an Amazon Echo device and the outlet has worked fine, even allowing a USB charge connection while the Echo is plugged in. Note that these don't support Qualcomm Quick Charge, but I found the charging to be fast enough for my needs. And finally, if you are looking to replace an outlet where the top and bottom plug receptacles are on different circuit breakers, this device won't support that. That kind of setup is a bit unusual and shouldn't be found in most home setups.

Example iPad alone on the USB C port itβs fine but if I plug in my ear buds to charge on the USB A forget it, both are slow. It stays slow until you unplug both the A & C then plug back in the C. Very annoying.
The real bad news is on Christmas Day I plugged in ear buds in on the USB A port and it instantly started smelling like it was burning. It quickly filled the house with an awful smell and smoke. We killed the circuit I pulled it out and opened it up and found this. This was only 6 1/2 months old and it experienced a catastrophic failure that had the potential of catching on fire. Is it worth saving a few bucks to risk this kind of failure? Not for me or my family. Make your own choice but I replaced it today with brand name, never again.

FΓ‘ciles de instalar a buen precio, al llegar a la casa la visita ya no tiene que estar pidiendo un cargador :) ni tengo que preocuparme de que me lo regresen.

5.0 out of 5 stars This is a 2 pack!
I chose these because of the three ports. I thought they were expensive but purchased anyway. It should not have been a surprise as the package contained 2 units. So I had ordered two and ended up with 4. I did not see any where in the description that it was a two pack.

5.0 out of 5 stars Nice to have the USB and Power in one box
Replaced a bunch of standard receptacles around the house with these USB/power plugs to keep the number of chargers and overall clutter to a minimum. They work great so far and do charge by USB quickly. If you have some basic skill in wiring you can do these yourself, be sure to kill the power at breaker or main before messing around in the box! I did find the fit to be pretty tight in the box as there charger/transformer is fairly large but so long as you don't have a bunch of spliced in the box it will fit. Looks so much better at every installation without all the chargers.
