This is my 5th dehumidifier I have bought. I purchased one last year and it stopped working in a month, I heard something like a bullet being fired and I checked the reviews and someone else had the same thing happen? Then I applied that credit towards another brand with the same size water tank, and it started rattling when I put it on low 2 months after I bought it so Amazon took it back. I applied it to 2 more dehumidifiers of another brand and same tank size, and they are still working great after 6 months so far. I felt like I needed to put one more in my living room so I bought this one with a larger water tank, and it collects water really great out of the air. I placed this closer to the floor, about 2 feet, and my only issue is that the power button never goes out, after you shut it down. It flashes all night, so I just unplug it because it is such a GREAT PRODUCT! Living in Florida was costing me a fortune buying dampness crystals and now I am saving a lot of $$$$ since the price of that product has gone up so much. I give this TEN STARS out of the dehumidifiers I have purchased over the past 14 months.

If you have any issues with this device at all it is absolutely impossible to get in touch with the manufacturer. Ours stopped working right outside the Amazon return window. I reached out to Amazon multiple times asking for help with the product. They only offered that they weren’t allowed to help me outside of the return window. I also asked for their help in contacting the manufacturer and I was given a phone number that did not work.

We looked everywhere online and the only thing we were able to find was a potential mailing address if you wanted to attempt to contact them that way. Our thoughts were if they didn’t have a phone number they weren’t going to respond to a letter in the mail either.

It worked in the beginning with no problems and then just quit. I would not purchase anything from Nine Sky again!

I wish there was a negative star option 😂🤷🏻‍♀️

It's very important to note that this does not have a compressor inside. If it did, it would cost over 200 dollars. However, the "evaporative" cooling works decent.

-1 star because if the temperature gets around 40F, the fins will freeze up with ice and it will potentially short itself out if you don't catch it in time. I guess the fins run slightly colder than the surrounding air.

The best thing about this is the size. I really like how small it is- I've had to use this in the footwell of my car before because the sunroof was leaking. That's actually what I bought it for, and it worked well for that.

Now it sits out in my storage building and on humid rainy days I'll turn it on to keep the humidity down around my tools. All-in-all it's a decent product, but I do feel like it is slightly over-priced for what it is. I feel like 40 dollars would be more acceptable for this than around 60-70. Just my opinion though, thanks.

I live by a marina where it is very humid. Initially I bought 2 of these and they were pulling water from the bedroom and living room like a champ so I bought a 3rd to help the one already in the living room. The 3rd one turns on fine and seems to be working like the other 2 however it doesn’t take ANY water out of the air even though it sits roughly 15 feet from the existing one that works.

The one in the bedroom still seems to work as normal but it stopped pulling water from the air all of a sudden last week. The last working one in the living room now is making a loud noise like it’s dying even though the water is still collecting (for now).

Bottom line is I have 2 out of 3 that either never worked or stopped working within 3 months and 1 on its last legs already. I will adjust my review if I can figure out what’s the problem but as of now I would definitely not recommend this product.
