A: I haven't taken the week old 17Z90N I just got, apart to see what hinges are in it, But the one I bought in Fall of 2020 has had no quality issues and is still working great.
Q: Can a 2nd SSD drive be added internally?
A: Yes, there's an additional SSD slot available. It's located next to the main SSD.
A: Actually, this is probably overkill for simply watching videos. You can't much larger than this without spending major money, but you can get one at the same size for half the money, and it will perform fine for your purpose, giving you an almost theater-like experience. A good set of headphones and you are all set. The only exception I would make to this is if you want to impress people--that's pretty much the only reason to get a backlit keyboard. Unless you really like watching videos next to your sleeping wife.
