I made this last year, and it wasn’t all that great… personally, the filling was good, but the crumbs on top were too sweet for me, but their regular apple pie is so good.

This pie is so delicious. My whole family loves when I make pies like this. The ingredients are fresh and very filling. It’s definitely worth the time and effort put into making this for dessert. The texture is just how you would imagine an apple hot apple pie to be. The crunchy topping is my favorite. It’s sweet but not too sweet. It’s the perfect combination to make. I’m happy to serve my family there pies.

I have bought Marie Callender pies for years and always thought they were incredible. Especially the Dutch apple, Dutch Cherry, and empty piecrust. Originally, A few years ago, I realized they weren’t as good, and I thought there may have been something wrong with a few individual purchases, perhaps not being stored properly at the grocery. But eventually, I came to the conclusion that they’re just not good anymore. I called Marie Callender to find out why, and it turns out they sold their pie business to ConAgra, who apparently changed the process. Sadly, I’m never buying another Marie Callender pie or Crust.

Disappointed. Mrs. Smith's is better. The reason being it is loaded up with a thick sauce, very few apples. Couldn't even slice it it was too much sauce.

First of all, you get a good amount of pie. The pie is dense and well-filled. The crumbs on top may seem overwhelming but actually it’s not too much. The crumbles add a different texture element that you don’t expect from a pie. You would expect that the crumbs would make it too sweet but it doesn’t. I appreciate that this pie isn’t a sugar explosion. It’s an appropriate balance of sweetness and flavor and texture.

Purchased this pie last week. Use to get this pie quite often but it has been a while now. They changed the topping and it wasn't for the better. Plus there is more gelatin than apples in the pie. The lattice pie is much better. This will be the last pie of this type that I will buy

This pie is soooo good. The first time I made it my family had no idea it was a frozen pie they thought it was homemade. It’s delicious, super easy to make, and affordable. You can’t ask for much more. I can’t overstate how much my family enjoys this pie.

I love this pie! It’s so simple to bake. You literally take the frozen pie & bake it for 1 hour, then add the crumble & bakefor another 10 minutes. I always wrap my pie crust with tin foil after the 1st 10 minutes to prevent it from burning. Don’t listen to the negative reviews!! This pie is full of fresh, juicy apples & the crust is perfect!! The flavors and textures are that of a homemade pie. My family & I love this pie & add vanilla ice cream on top. Once again, thank you Target for offering quality at a decent price!!

I buy this Dutch apple pie every holiday season and it’s honestly one of the things I look forward to the most. The crust is buttery and the filling and crumb topping melt in my mouth. I love it with a glass of milk. It’s comforting and heavenly. I come here to sincerely request that you never discontinue this product . It makes me really happy and it would be a shame to go without it .

Followed the directions. Baked the longest recommended amount of time. The underside of the crumb topping was underdone. Generally the filling has become a lot of flavorless sweet sauce with a few chunks of hard undercooked apple. Why can’t we use pie apples in apple pie? And, no, I’m not going to give you another try on my own dime. Send me a coupon once you’ve changed procedures and I will.

This was my first Marie Callender’s apple pie and was shocked by the lack of apple flavor, lack of apple firmness, lack of acidity, all swimming in an overly sweet gel. The apple variety is all wrong. Seems like a sweet apple with insufficient firmness. Needs to be a baking apple like Pippin or Granny Smith which would go a long way to fix the flavor, texture and acidity. Rework the sweet goo to something more juicy and supplant the filling with more of the “right” apples and you may have something. The crust and crumble are pretty good as is, but the filling needs a lot rework.

I just took this out of the freezer to prepare for Thanksgiving dinner. I was shocked at how small it was compared to just a few years ago. The photo on the box is very misleading. It says it serves 9! It doesn’t even fit in a standard pie plate. So sad. The price went up and the size went down. It will be embarrassing to serve my family such a tiny slice.

Today, I bought Dutch Apple Pie expecting an apple pie with lots of apple slices. What I got was a pie with a few apple slices (about half the number of slices expected) and lots of thickened juice. It was not like the picture from the advertisements or the pictures on the packaging.

I cannot understand why the negative reviews. This is my first experience with MC dutch apple pie. AMAZNG!!! The filling was slightly lower then fill line but if filling is allowed to cook to completion. A nice amount of apples and filling. Wait until filling is bubbling DO NOT place topping any time before. It does rise up above the fill line. Perfect amount of crumb topping. I DO NOT like extremely sweet desserts and this is perfectly balanced.
